Granite Pointe Eye Care

This place is AMAZING! We just had our first visit today and everyone from the reception staff to the Doctor were all awesome. The equipment they have is very state of the art. The Dr was very patient and comprehensive in explaining the test results. They have a large selection of frames and all prices seemed very reasonable. So glad we found them!

I am sad to write this because Granite Pointe Eye Care was good at first. The front office is inviting and the front office staff are friendly. The optometrist my family and I saw (Dr Gill) seemed thorough and was nice enough. But I was so disappointed with my first purchase of glasses. I have been wearing glasses for about 37 years, so needless to say these aren't my first pair of glasses. I placed an order on 10/21/25 for glasses. I have a strong prescription, so gladly paid for the high index lenses to thin out the lenses and not make them so thick. I received a call on 11/18/25 from Jason stating that my glasses came in, but were not up to their standards, so they wanted to send them back, but would refund me the high index lenses fee because of the wait and they should be back in the next week. I said that was appreciated and I was fine waiting the week. I got a text on 12/3/25 that my glasses were in. I went to pick them up on 12/11/25. The picture shows the difference between my old glasses (top picture from another optometrist) and what Granite Pointe Eye Care supplied me (bottom picture). The lenses are SO THICK! I mean the only time I have seen my lenses this thick is when they weren't thinned out AT ALL! They made it seem like they were compensating me for the SIX WEEK DELAY but did not say anything about not being able to process the order as originally placed. When I pushed back after seeing the glasses, they insisted there was nothing they could do to thin them out more. I am truly at a loss for words... My family and I certainly will not be back. My advice is to steer clear of purchasing glasses here! Especially if you have a strong prescription!

Granite Pointe Eye Care was a great experience from start to finish. The staff was pleasant, welcoming, and efficient, and Dr. McGhee was incredibly informative and thorough throughout the exam. She took the time to explain everything clearly and made the visit feel personalized and professional. Highly recommend this office for anyone looking for quality eye care in the Granite Bay/Roseville/Rocklin area.

This office is fantastic. Very organized and friendly staff. Dr Gill was on schedule and very caring. The optician I worked with was friendly and very patient. I left with a great choice of eyeglasses and sunglasses. Can't wait to pick up the finished product!

My mother was looking to replace her lenses because they had some severe scratches. Trisha saw the glasses and said that they made a mistake selling them to her because they had made contact with her skin. She promptly helped my mom pick out brand new glasses and said they were on the house free of charge along with new lenses. What must have cost well over $1200, Trisha helped us at no cost. She was an excellent in her customer service and I ended up spending $1000 for quality contact lenses. It was the best customer service I received at an optometrist. Everyone from Amira to Dr. Gill were professional and wonderful. The perfect experience I've ever had. 5/5 stars

100% satisfied! Booking is easy, registration is smooth, ancillary staff pleasant, efficient and skilled. Dr. Leung was helpful (and very supportive) when she discovered a new issue with my retina. I have no doubt that had I not had this appointment, this would have continued to progress. Dr. Leung made an appropriate referral and explained the next steps to me I am very grateful for her kindness and her high degree of professionalism. She is truly an "old school" healthcare professional.

Such a great office! Everyone is so friendly, patient, professional and helpful.. I have been a patient of Dr Okamoto for several years and my entire family also! He is very thorough and knowledgeable. I also appreciated May who helped me pick out new frames. Since my eyes were dilated she took pictures so I could see what I looked like using my old glasses. I took forever deciding and she was so patient and very sweet!

Dr. Randy Fuerst is the reason why I came to this practice, he is the best eye doctor I have ever had. With my MGD (meibomian gland dysfunction) Dr Fuerst is the only eye doctor in Sacramento County that can help with my condition. I looked for Dr Randy when he retired from his other office, so lucky I found him in this office. 10 stars to Dr Randy! Excellent doctor!! Now, the scheduling is a different story. The 3 stars is for the scheduling system. This office need to have more equipments/tools for the exams, add more rooms for the doctors, and be organized in the timing! There are patients that are notoriously late ALL THE TIME so if the scheduler have those patients on schedule then make adjustments! My schedule was at 10:35am, I did not get any exam from the technicians until 11:15!!! Dr Fuerst is very thorough with his patients this is why I like him so give this doctor a break and do not schedule a back to back patient, my goodness! Hire me as part time scheduler and I will take care of Dr Fuerst's patients schedules . If it wasn't for Dr Fuerst, I would have left and called it a day earlier, but no, I want my eyes checked so I stayed. This office also does not do meiboscopy, unlike the other practice where Dr Fuerst was, the technicians do not do it here although they could. Also, this office has good selection of Eyewear so for that, 5 stars. Get your scheduling together and your office will be by far good choice.
