UC Davis Eye Center Roseville Clinic

My visit was a month ago, but I'm just getting around to writing this review, so excuse the lateness... Not only did the visit take way longer than expected (about 2 hrs), but both me and my eyes were so fatigued by the end, that I couldn't feel confident with my results. Little did I know, that feeling would ring true. The optometrist said that my prescription had not changed for distance, but that I should also add reading glasses. They gave me a prescription that was supposed to show my current glasses plus the new lenses for close up, however when I got home and reviewed the paper, I was confused to see that the "current" prescription was way off and the reading prescription was actually closer to my current prescription. Not only that, but they had mistyped the prescriptions to half - and half + which isn't impossible, but was not the case for me. Luckily, I was intelligent enough to realize the mistake, but that doesn't really excuse their negligence, nor does it excuse the incorrect prescriptions to begin with. To top it all off, I am now being told by my insurance that this visit was not covered, even though I called the office weeks in advance to ensure that this would be covered, because I do not have vision insurance. They told me that if it wasn't covered, they wouldn't be seeing me and that the reason it was being covered was because it was a referral from my primary care physician, so it should be covered by my regular insurance. I took their word for it, and now I am being billed for a visit that was painful, painstaking, and completely pointless. To say that I am disappointed would be an understatement. I really thought this eye exam would be different from my experiences with chain stores, since this is an actual doctor at an actual medical office, but honestly, it was worse. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

The doctor is great but the receptionists are the worst people. I don't know who hired them. I called to it to reschedule my doctor appointment and I was on call for one and half hour. I been there they are not that busy then why they don't answer the call. It's not Taco Bell that receptionist is taking the orders and there is a huge lane and unable to answer the call. The people who hired them should monitor them and everything should be recorded that let say for how long a patient was on call and were been waiting. If there were 0 reviews I would give that 0. But unfortunately it doesn't.

My eye doctor there is great (5 stars) but this review is for the optical shop. One star is too generous. They never answer the phone and you're sent to an automated voicemail system that tells you to leave a 'detailed' message and they will get back with you as soon as possible. I leave a message, I also leave my name and phone number. I never get a call back. If you can't answer my question, just call and tell me you do not have an answer for me instead of choosing to ignore my message altogether. It's very unprofessional.

Was very reassured by the professionalism and sensitivity given to my granddaughter. The physician provided a very thorough exam followed by a clear diatonic explanation.

Dr Baik is very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. Her staff at the clinic are great as well.
