Having problems seeing well can be stressful. Dr Amir definitely helped alleviate that stress with his upbeat, positive attitude. He greeted me with a firm handshake and big, generous smile. I'm still stressing about the surgery but I feel much better with him doing it.

Dr Amir is AMAZING! He's extremely knowledgeable and makes you feel comfortable when discussing your treatment options. I highly recommend him!

I love Dr Amir. I recieved fantastic service on my cataracts surgeries in Oct and Nov. I highly recommend him, but expect them to overbook and always run late. That being said, i didn't mind because that team was amazing. But here's the problem, I needed new glasses after surgery so I thought I'd give them a try based on my good experience. I ordered both seeing eye and prescription sunglasses. Spent well over $1000, after my insurance. When I picked them up, the lenses were off in my left eye. My left pupil was measured incorrectly and they needed to fix my lenses and said they would rush them. This was well before Christmas and now it's January 14. Ive left messages without call backs - 1st one was a week and a half ago!!!! I can't even get a human being on the phone. And they are not that big of an optical center to NOT RETURN PATIENT PHONE CALLS. Do not get your glasses here. Their customer service is horrible and I regret paying them so much money and getting blown off. NOT GOOD!

The medical care at this practice is solid, but the customer service at the front desk is deeply disappointing. This morning, I watched an older man arrive for his appointment--slowly, using a walker, and clearly doing his best--only to be told he was 23 minutes late and would have to reschedule. The receptionist cited a strict 15-minute grace period. Ironically, I had to wait at least 25 minutes past my appointment time to be seen, so this "policy" doesn't seem to apply in both directions. The situation was especially disheartening because the man had come by a ride service for people who can't drive, and it was raining heavily. Now he had to arrange a trip home and schedule another ride for a future appointment, all because of a delay caused by bad weather--something he obviously couldn't control. The refusal was so insensitive that another patient stepped up to the counter to politely ask whether an exception could be made, given the circumstances. The receptionist dismissed him without a second thought. On top of that, I was given incorrect information prior to my appointment, adding to the frustration. The front office staff needs to treat patients with more empathy, flexibility, and accuracy. Medical care isn't just about what happens in the exam room--basic compassion at the front desk matters, too.

Dr. Amir is the consummate professional! He displays a warm, caring and reassuring demeanor, while taking time to show personal concern in an unhurried manner. I have enjoyed his expert care for over 13 years.

I've been seeing Dr. Ahmad since last year for an issue with my eyes. He is always very professional, knowledgeable, compassionate, and patient. I would definitely recommend him.

I have never had such a horrible experience with a doctor and staff. Not only did they repeatedly change my appointment dates to fit Dr. Jawads golfing schedule but they also repeatedly mishandled my medical files forcing me to wait even longer for necessary surgery. Do not go to these doctors clearly UCLA has all the competent professionals.

Everyone there is always so nice. I enjoy my visits with Dr. Higginbotham. His staff is very enthusiastic and efficient
