Came here haven't had my glasses for long maybe 3 months they are not good quality I've had glasses for many years first time experiencing bad lenses $300 gone to waste and it truly sucks especially when they are not useable I explained to them my concern and said I'd have to pay $100 more to fix them NO THANK YOU! Wouldn't recommend coming here unless you want to waste your money. My prescription seems very wrong and am not happy about this especially being a young adult and now being out of $300 and no glasses to use when driving!
I brought in a pair of broken Oakley eyeglasses that might have been impossible to repair. Not only did they fix the arm and clean them, they didn't charge me. Fantastic place, super helpful. Thanks!
The Eyeglass Factory is unmatched in service, generosity, and care! Gregg and his team go above and beyond--less than two hours after ordering, my glasses were ready. With so many styles, choosing was tough, but everyone helped me find the perfect pair.
Beyond their swift service, they give back--providing free exams and glasses for children. I got my first pair here in 2010, and their warmth and dedication remain just as strong.
If you want quality eyewear from a business that truly cares, this is the place. I LOVE my new glasses!
Ricky came THROUGH!!!!! I Came here desperately trying to find glasses that would be a match for some broken ones for my daughter. He found the perfect frames for her!! The price was very reasonable, very affordable, it was very fast. He found a frame that actually fit her face and she looks beautiful in them. I love how professional and courteous he was. He made us both feel VIP.
I would give him 10 stars if that were possible
I highly recommend this place. See Ricky when you do. We'll be back..
I was visiting Santa Barbara from Utah, lost my glasses, and needed a new pair fast to drive home. I came in and they expedited a pair that they had done in half an hour! Great service, great prices.
Great selection of high quality glasses. Ricky was so helpful with pricing, measuring my PD, utilizing the BOGO deal, and was super kind and patient while I shopped. My prescription is difficult to fulfill because it is so high but Ricky was able to find lenses for me, and I had new glasses within 2 hours. Thank you Ricky, Daniel, Nick and the other wonderful staff for all your help! I will be back.
Santa Barbara Eyeglass Factory
This is the 3rd pair of glasses I've had made here over 12 years & they are 2-1/2 years out of warrantee, I should tell you. I brought these back Saturday because the edges were blistering & peeling & hey; bubbles are tiny lenses of their own. (I read cell phone news in the dark & it was bothering my eyesight).
I'm an artist & the Milpas Mgr tells me it was something I did to them & he's never seen this before. I said I watercolor outdoors & I sweat a lot. He said that wouldn't do it. (He's implying foul play here.) Then he points the meshing mismatch with the frames. Him: Heat. My Answer: Your $150 frames broke & I bought these from an optometrist on State for $75--close as he could match your lenses. You didn't have any I liked. He & the Sunglasses store Mgr said these are defective. What's peeling off of these glasses? Mgr.: I don't know. Me: Is it the Polarizing? Mgr.: NO--that's on the 'inside' (same as the guy at the door when I first came in--polarizing is sandwiched between the plastic). I'll take your word for it. Is it a scratch-proofing? Mgr: NO. I don't know what you did--did you leave them in a hot car? Me: I wear them all the time, I don't sit in cars when they're hot. Again the Mgr implies he doesn't know what 'I' have done. Me: Pretend I'm telling you the TRUTH. I get a double glance here. I only sit in the sun & paint & sweat. Can you replace it? Mgr. NO. How can I get it off: Mgr Nail polish remover. Me: Acetone? Him: No. Me: That is is Acetone. Mgr. You should buy another pair--these are old. Me: They're just 3-1/2 years old--not old for glasses & the lenses correct, except the slowly developing blister & peel distortion. They're progressives & cost me about $400 each time. If get new glasses I'll first check this prescription.
He obliges. (But I'm never coming back) And these people do work for Dr. Silverberg whom I've been to & is great. As per one of the other reviews they wouldn't fix a guy's glasses even when that Ophthalmologist's Office called them.
I'm leaving before he gets upset at insisting his product is defective because he's not being earnest or helpful. Now tI recall my last 4 experiences with this place contained a blatant element of the same. He obviously thinks I'm from the Rehab around the corner & Catholic Charities uses him or he doesn't like the horse I roads in on. Whatever.
I go home & scratch off the blisters & bubbles & you can see the hands where I can't manually peel them back further. Nearly clear 'indoors' but makes a steep ridge distorts the vision. [Wait]
Last--check out afterward when I went out in the sun & they darkened. I took this photo: I would be walking around out in the sun like a Halloween lunatic.
Obviously this guy has been working here since I remember, 12 years & doesn't know his factory puts Polarizing on the OUTSIDE?! Gimme a break: The guy was handing me a line & wouldn't even fix it for a FEE!
I feel sorry for his robotic job. Though Ventura location was ok, drove way over for service when needed. No, recourse--not going to spend my money here. The Polarizing came off through ordinary use, the glasses are toast: DONT SHOP HERE.
PS: Apologize, Fix it & we'll talk about taking this down, but until then, you know my number although my name is slightly skewed because my eyes have nitrogen narcosis from staring through the bubble in the dark.
Some people would SUE YOU,
~GL

Manager Daniel was extremely rude. Had a nasty attitude when I brought up Medical, as if I was the was the worst scum on the planet, I am never going back to this location just because of him. I didn't even end up getting anything, I felt so attacked and horrible.
