We drove two hours to see Dr. Silverberg and it was absolutely worth it!! I needed to take my two year old to a pediatric eye specialist. My sweet boy is speech delayed and on the autism spectrum. Dr. Silverberg was patient about my boy being so wiggly and trying to get off my lap and grab toys . He moved SUPER quickly which I appreciated so much. What I appreciated the most though, was that he wrote us a prescription for the dilation eye drops. He didn't want to do it to my son in office, cause that can be quite terrifying for kiddos, especially when they're on the spectrum, and he didn't want my son to be afraid to come back. We also had a long drive home, and had we done the drops in office, we would've had to wait longer to allow them to kick in and it would have just extended our day. We have another appointment in a couple of weeks. On that day I will administer the dilation drops at home where Toby is comfortable and in his safe environment, and by the time we get there, he will be ready to be seen and will just be able to have an overall calmer and more comfortable experience. As a mother with two kiddos on the spectrum, these things mean a lot to me and show a lot of care and consideration on Dr. Silverberg's part. I'm so glad we found him!

I honestly cannot believe that this eye doctor sees kids. His bedside manner is terrible. He came rushing into the room, did not introduce himself, and then wonders why a two year old is crying. He didn't attempt to speak to my son, use any toys, or try any sort of distraction tools....he literally did NOTHING besides look at his computer screen for a minute. He just said, "well he is crying, bring him back in two weeks." He then walked out of the room as I sat there speechless wondering what had just happened. He spent two minutes max in the room and then I received a bill for $290 for his "services". Do yourself a favor and stay away from this office. There are other eye doctors who are much better with kids and charge far less. We had seen Dr. Yin there previously and she was amazing.

Dr. Silverberg detected my elderly family member's glaucoma early--she would likely have lost her vision if not for him. Despite her many health issues and the fact that she's not easily pleased, he is always patient, compassionate, and respectful. We're incredibly grateful for his excellent care.

Vyklynn, the technician, was truly outstanding! She was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and making my visit both informative and comfortable. Her professionalism and expertise made all the difference, and I genuinely had the best experience. Dr. Silverberg is an exceptional pediatric ophthalmologist with a deep understanding of strabismus. His expertise and compassionate approach made me feel confident and well cared for. He took the time to address all my concerns, and it's clear that he is dedicated to providing top-tier care. I highly recommend Dr. Silverberg and his incredible team! Their professionalism, kindness, and expertise truly make them stand out. If you're looking for a knowledgeable and caring ophthalmologist, this is the place to go!

DOCTOR is amazing but front desk is so rude and disrepectful. Everytime i have a question or want to make appointment in person or over the phone the ladys up front are really rude always with a adittude. Office needs to be more welcoming. If they dont like what they do why work their. Doctor Silverberg should consider new front staff please.

My appointment was at 8:45 and I got here at 8:30. It's 9:27 and I still have not seen the doctor with my two-year-old. Patients don't have many options these days, but if I had any, I would never come here again. The doctor came in after more than an hour and at one point he said I just met you and you seem angry. Lol. I don't know many people who are happy about having an hour of their life stolen. I don't know how people are supposed to access healthcare, we don't have unlimited pay time off.

I highly recommend Dr. Silverberg! He's the best pediatric ophthalmologist in Santa Barbara, CA.

Dr. Silverberg office was so wonderful and kind. Will definitely be back to this office.
