The bee stung my eye under the Kaiser sport glasses during the biking ride. Later on Sunday evening, I called to Kaiser emergency nurse and was promised an a great optician on Monday morning at 8.30am. Sounds great for me! But it was not a video call, the nurse called me and asked where was the eye redness or swollen. I tried to guess her medical terms. Later on, trying to send my injured eye photos to her. I could not! Amazon wifi troubled and the Kaiser network did not worked. I offered to come to the Castro office instead. What a surprise, optometrist office had no idea about my visit. I came to the other floor, where Amy, the nurse, works. Sure thing- all windows are closed- lunch break. Another nurse heard my steps and came to help reaching that Amy. She looked, and in her first words- optometrist bur later on no optometrist is needed. I am glad my eye is not hurt on the third day but the questions 1. Is the Kaiser sport glasses can protect my eyes from flying objects? 2. Wearing those Kaiser glasses for two eyes during biking, I was diagnosed with Photokeratitis in 2025. So no sunburn protection either? I wear a cap and helmet all the time. 3. Any explanation to first time diagnosed with sunburn recovery? I like Kaiser standard work, it is efficient in general. But just a little bit off the standard- and a little more attention to advise to a healthy sport dedicated senior is too much to expect? My Medicare monthly costs a lot but I hardly visit Kaiser's facility. Any attitude to healthy people?

Janine was very knowledgeable and helped me find the perfect fitting eye glasses. She made sure that I got any discount that I was eligible. When I checked out and paid, they helped me find the amount of FSA funds that I had remaining and helped maximize my benefits by calculating how much that I could charge to my FSA and the amount that I needed to pay out-of-pocket.

The doctor and the opticians were very nice and informative. They explained each step clearly and helped me use my benefit wisely. I'm very happy with the treatment and the service I received.

The Optical Center at Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara Medical Center was awesome to go to! The Optical Center was professional all the way through to get my new glasses and all my questions answered in a very professional manner.

Janene is the best! She is always friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. I request her every time I get glasses. She's a gem!

Caroline was extremely helpful! She was careful to consider face shape, eye shape, etc. to help me choose the best frames.

I had great service that's the long and short of it. I wish I could get my new glasses faster, but the service I received at the optical department was fantastic.

Ms Cindy Payne made my Birthday for Glasses very enjoyable as well as very productive.. To find a great, pair of glasses, after so many years since last wore glasses!:) Cindy's use of her great knowledge is perfectly understandable and greatly advisable! Great advice and extremely helpful; so much, I do not believe I would be as happy with another! TRUE:) Ms Cindy is so wonderful, she spoils one to not wanting another to help. She is very good to have great communication and a sort of kinship with a client, patient:) Comfortable friendliness from the start! No barriers no matter difference in age, race, all, great with your Rep Cindy!! YAY! Bravo! Give her a raise or some recognition!
