Dr. Joshua N. Babad, MD

Went to this doctor for the first time. Just received my glasses with his new prescription. Most excellent. Love the time machine aspect. Dr Babad used them most expertly and I ended up with just as good or better an exam as I get from doctors with all of the latest techno foo foo. Kudos.

Dr Babad got my RX incorrectly, so I went back and there was another Dr who fixed it for me. Beware of Irma in the back office. She fits your frames. She is defensive, and seems like a misanthrope to me. The Doctors apologized for her aggressive behavior, yet they acted like they're stuck with her. Not sure what the story is. A very odd experience here. I won't be back

I saw Dr.. Babad this morning. My eyes are very sensitive. I have never been able to open my eyes under water. So when he put drops in my eyes and wanted to put more in, I was having difficulty opening my eyes wide as he requested. I apologized for being a difficult patient. Instead, he yelled at me saying that he had other patients and wouldn't be able to do the exam if I couldn't open my eyes wide. I kept on apologizing and trying but he kept on getting more and more aggravated with me. He got angry and kept on saying if I can't open my eyes open, he'd have to stop the eye exam. I asked if I wipe my eyes and he gave me that opportunity. I was about to cry from his condescending attitude. He finally got the drops in and was not gentle at all. Then he did the next exam where this metal object touched my eyeball. My body reacted by moving my head back. He stopped that exam and did it manually by using his hands. Although the rest of the staff was nice, I will never ever go back there and would not recommend it to others.

Always been treated with respect and compassion..I feel very grateful to have Dr.Babad as my eye care professional..I've been fortunate to be able to keep him with my Medicare/Medical insurance. Retired and disabled former Mental Heath Nurse.(patient for over 25 years).

Very nice and experienced eye doctor in Santa Cruz, CA. Office staff exceptional helpful and nice. Great place to go for all your eye care needs. Highly recommend this office.

Awesome, nice, helpful, and knowledgable peoples work here! Super cool 60's retro time capsule office too!! This is where my eyeballs will be hanging out from now on! :P
