I felt comfortable with Dr. McRee. He explained everything to me so I could understand it all. He told me how to take care of my dry eyes with eye drops and warm compresses. I am very thankful for my treatment and I feel much better now.

Tech was very disrespectful, speaking in condescending manner and with a sharp tone. "I told you to put your chin on the rest...open your eye! I said open!" She frowned, was inpatient and did not bother to explain what she was doing. It was awkward that she used paper towels to
position my head given that i wash my hair everyday. Being 75, soft spoken, blind in one eye, hard of hearing, with an imperfect memory and one who uses a walker is enough to be a victim of a young tech who may just be having a bad day. Never going back. 2 stars for the timely manner and politeness of the doctor. However because Dr. Ahmed's recommendation contradicts a well known, experienced, eye surgeon from San Luis (unfortunately out of network) I decided to return to UCLA eye institute for treatment.

I simply cannot say enough about Dr. Amir and his staff. I was sure that I had a case of bilateral uveitis and it was extremely uncomfortable and worrying as it was the first time experiencing it. They got me in as an urgent patient the same day and I was in and out in 20 minutes with the unfortunate diagnosis I was afraid of. Dr. Amir was kind and efficient. He is my new Opthalmologist! Also, the front staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, especially Ashley. She went above and beyond. I felt very well taken care of which can be sadly missing sometimes..
