Dr. Steven Serrins, Optometrist

Be a patient for about 3 years. The receptionist are okay, but the doctor was great! (Dr Preet Sandhu). She is the only reason I kept coming back, until today. I went in to pick up my prescription glasses and was told told sit down in an empty chair and they would help me as soon as this gentleman was done with another patient. This guy and the patient are talking about getting the right fit , him a little obnoxious but no big deal. I was scrolling my phone while waiting when the guy who was helping the other patient threw a towel at me it fell to the floor he then picks up the towel then throws it on another part of the table. I am looking at him, waiting to see if he says "excuse me" or "I am sorry", but nothing. Didn't even look my way or anything. So I am upset. Then this young lady that siting on the other side of this guy said she would be right with me. Look like she was adjusting glasses or fixing them. When she could she got up and asked my info and gave me my pair of glasses. I then asked her who this guy was and she said " he is the owner's uncle. " So I go up to the guy and said excuse me and he puts his up and one minute and tried to make it like he is so focused on this one patient. I said excuse me one more time and I asked him if he makes a habit of throwing towels at patients and not say anything? He says "Oh did I hit you?" I said yes you did and you didn't say sorry or excuse me or anything! He continues to say "let me give you something for free. Would you like a free gift?" I am in disbelief like you are just making it worse offering me a gift for free. I said "no I do not want a free gift, but I wanted you to be aware of what you did and I did not appreciate it. His who demeanor was condescending and insulting. Like I was a kid or a dog and be given a toy or treat and I would be okay with it. So this is the last time I am going to this place. My wife tied going there but couldn't stand it. As soon she walked she walked out . I should have listened to her, but like I said Dr Sandhu is great, but not worth it anymore. I do not recommend. I think most of the positive reviews are probably friends of this doctor since this town is so small. Seems like everyone know everybody.

I used to really enjoy this office but things went down hill. I literally called 8 times one day and never got an answer and they send out text messages which they don't answer. We had to switch eye doctors because of how unreliable they are. They were supposed to fill my daughter's prescription and it never got done. Her prescription is now expired and they were supposed to call me back to see if they had some contacts she can use in the meantime until her appointment and never got a call back.

I had a great experience my husband and I both went did take awhile to get in but the experience there was great Cassie is amazing I loved her and I didnt get to catch the other lady name but they both were amazing made me feel really comfortable. I never had an eye appointment go so fast and didnt feel like I was rushed doing my exam. Definitely would recommend

Well my family and I have been attending for about a year or more, and initially it was great. Staff is really sweet and pleasant. The downfall is you can rarely get them on the phone. Warranty on glasses are horrible. Ive spent so much money out of pocket for glasses for my children, every time I have to submit for warranty it never comes thru. It will be months with constant follow ups in person to get any update. The update is the same per usual. My 6 year old currently has no glasses awaiting the warranty on glasses with no follow up or update. My husband and I are officially stuck with a huge bill for glasses. That we have had to go and price out with other places to fulfill the prescription outside of our insurance since Dr Serrins office has burned our insurance out for the year until 02/2026. Glasses are not cheap when your paying out of pocket and we will have to come to a payment plan to get glasses for my daughter who NEEDS them from outsourced offices. I'm sure once again I will be offered to pay 50% off for a frame for the inconvenience which I don't recommend since they will NEVER be able to use the Warranty on any frame per my experience. Once again I been attempting to call , to see a miracle and get them on the phone to relate a message for a update on the warranty. Not my first rodeo went thru the same thing with my sons glasses.

This office is amazing!!!! The staff are always so welcoming and make you feel like family... and the manager is Great!!!

The office has kindly squeezed me in for appointments since I have a very limited availability with a toddler. They have multiple offices too which make it easy to find a location that can help you. The ladies at the front of the Caldwell office are so friendly and helpful. It is always a pleasant experience when dealing with them. They care for their customers and offered to walk me to my car with an umbrella because it was pouring after my appointment. My husband was the original patient to start at this office and because he always has pleasant experience I transferred to this doctor as well and have been happy with my decision. Doctor Van was kind and knowledgeable, going over any questions or concerns I had. When I got fitted for glasses they helped me to consider all my options and I let them know the budget I was working with so I was able to make the best decision for the budget I was working with. Thank you to the Caldwell office for being so awesome, friendly, and helpful for anything we have needed!

First time going to an Optometrist on my own & it went smoothly. You'd think you were at the Dentist the way the ladies working there make you smile especially Cassie. For sure a place that made me feel comfortable & happy. It was quick & easy as well.

This office is ran top notch! Excellent Doctor, kind hearted, friendly & caring staff. Great scheduling helps ease any waiting room time. These guys bend over backwards every time to make my kid's visit the best and most positive experience possible. Very clean office. Very knowledgeable staff. Both my kids received their very first pair of glasses here; they were nervous at first but with the help of the staff, this was turned into a positive experience and my kids are looking forward to wearing their new glasses! Thank you!!! I will keep coming back and definitely refer others to you!
