My condition was not taken seriously. I feel I was under-treated for years, leading to progression of my disease and corneal damage.
I have severe dry eye disease. I was a patient for years and expressed worsening symptoms, including feeling cuts and scratches on my eyes. I was told my eyes "looked better" than in the past. My condition continued to deteriorate, affecting my mental health and quality of life. I stated this countless times.
One visit, the doctor put an amniotic membrane (Ambio) in my eyes. Approx. 90% of it fell out after 10 minutes. I drove back to the office and waited alone for 30 minutes. When the doctor returned, she said "some of it was still there" and sent me on my way. Over the following week, I experienced excruciating discomfort, my eyes were bloodshot, and I was unable to go outside without pain.
I made multiple calls to the office asking for guidance using their emergency after-hours line. I received no reply for days, missed one callback from them, and then tried returning the call 2-3 times with no response for the rest of the day.
At follow-up, I was told there was minimal to no improvement (expected given that nearly all of the treatment had fallen out with no replacement). I was then told I had exhausted all available treatments at the practice and that there was nothing else they could do.
After later seeing a more specialized ophthalmologist at another practice, I was informed that I have significant corneal surface damage and ocular rosacea, and that further treatment would be required.
Great care and patience from Dr. Vargas. Friendly staff and clean location. Very professional environment..
I don't usually leave reviews but I have to take the time to tell anyone who needs professional care for their eyes, go here! I had dr Vargas and after dealing with an eye infection spanning 8 months and other doctors not willing to find the root cause, I came here and dr Vargas found the problem immediately! Friendly staff, professional, clean, and all around the best experience for anyone looking for their next ophthalmologist!
Long wait times. Doesn't matter if you reached on time you will still have to wait for about an hour for your turn.
Thank you, Dr. Babadostova for taking care of my eyes after my cataract surgery. I really appreciate your help!"
Thank you all the nurses and reception person.
Amazing doctor and amazing staff. My mother had cataract removal surgery about a month ago and can't stress how smooth and perfect the entire procedure went. She had claimed that she had been suffering from blurry vision in the right eye for almost 2 decades, and after the operation sees as clear as she did when she was in her 30s. She was very afraid of the procedure but the staff was very courteous and explained everything to her to calm her nerves, and after Applying the various anesthetics before the procedure, she was extraordinarily surprised how quick the whole process went. Apparently, it was over before she was aware it even started. And literally zero pain. It has been over a month since she had this procedure, and can't express her gratitude enough and how thankful she is that she had this done with the professionalism of the entire staff at the Institute. Highly recommended! Cecilia was also extraordinarily helpful and knowledgeable during the entire process.
Very bad experience with front desk. First able so hard tp get a hold pf them, then when finally someone answered they provide wrong information, Mary Ann said wad the manager was rude, not apatic to my parents situation and denied to provide his records. Stated u can send it to your Dr. But will give it to you in a week. Really he o my asked for last visit report. Still she was not willing to help.
The front office, assistants, Cecilia and Dr. Nazemi, AMAZING. They made me feel very comfortable and answered every, and many, questions before, during and especially after surgery. Dr. Nazemi made himself available even during after hours and responded in a very timely manner. Thank you guys!!!
