My visual acuity improved from 20/400 to 20/16 after my bilateral lens replacement ( cataract surgery ) and I am extremely grateful for the new world that I discovered thanks to her . My visit with the doctor was very short but very successful and gave me most of the answers I needed. However there where a couple minor questions that where not addressed might have been my fault. I sat that waiting so long that all I wanted to do was go home. I waited 35 minutes from when they put drops in my eyes tell I saw the doctor. Nurses told me would be 10-15 minutes not over 30. Otherwise I was very happy

Dr. Bala was absolutely amazing in so many ways; professional, knowledgeable, extremely skillful, and caring. Her follow up has also been excellent. She has answered all my questions and concerns. The surgeries she performed are working out far beyond my expectations. It is such a wonderful feeling to be able to see clearly, both mid and far distances. I couldn't be more pleased with Dr. Bala and the medical services and care she has provided. My entire experience with cataract surgery has been very positive thanks to Dr. Bala and her colleagues.

She joined DLV Vision after having served as the Director of the Cornea & Refractive Surgery Service and Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Louisville, then joining a private practice in the Los Angeles area. She was awarded the Leo Tauber & David Fainer Award for Vision Care Specialist of the Year for 2022 by the Ventura County Medical Research Foundation.
