ABBA Eye Care - Nevada

Went here last year to get an updated prescription for contacts and glasses was not listened to, prescription was wrong, and ended up with an incorrect diagnosis from Dr. O. Dr. O is a egotistical and should not be in a medical professional position. I've been in toric lens contacts for 25 years and Dr. O argued with me the three different times I saw him that the reason I was seeing double images and my prescription seemed to change in the last year was because I've never been in toric lenses and have an astigmatism. I corrected him each time and even brought my current prescription boxes from AirOptix plus which clearly state on the top "for astigmatism", I've been in Biofinity Toric and Acuvue Oasys for Astigmatism. But we digress. Dr. O disregarded my proof and continued with his know it all attitude. Over the course of the next 6 months I went in for 5-6 times to adjust my glasses all the while stating each time that my contact prescription is still double image. My glasses were creating a fun house effect and were wildly disorienting. I was told repeatedly my eyes need time to adjust. Finally on the fourth/fifth appointment they adjusted my glasses to pin point a specific area that I have to look out of and Dr. O finally agreed to check my prescription again. Once again I was told it was because I wasn't in toric lenses.... At this point I've been in toric lenses that HE prescribed for 6 months. I decided to be an advocate for my own health and decided to book an appointment with an ophthalmologist. I told him my symptoms were double image, my prescriptions were changing despite being similar for 10 years at that point, and something seemed off (same thing I told Dr. O). He immediately told me those symptoms sound like keratoconus, he then proceeded to do a topography map and found I have moderate keratoconus in both eyes. This is a medical condition that requires hard scleral lenses to be custom fit. This is not a fitting that Abba can do, actually very few optometrist can. I would have never trusted Abba with this fitting anyway. After all this I cannot recommend Abba for anything. The constant run around and refusing to help was appalling, especially when you are asking for help. They try and scam you out of so much money when ordering contacts. I did my due diligence and found my exact contacts on 1-800-contacts for half of what they wanted to charge me at Abba and when I showed Brittany she instantly dropped the price to match, but said I had to come pick them up or pay shipping. I showed her 1-800-contacts would deliver to my door for free, so she added free delivery. Please do yourself the favor of going anywhere else in the Springs or at the very least challenge them on their diagnosis and their pricing.

Kind, knowledgeable, relatable doctors and staff. Good quality glasses with in person help. I tried buying frames online but the progressive lenses weren't quite right and having an actual human help me at ABBA is so much better and my prescription is correct. I love being able to try on frames before I buy rather than be stuck with a pair I hate for a year.

I had an excellent experience with Dr. Herbert and his team. His eye assessment was thorough, and his expertise and professionalism were immediately evident. I have pretty high standards. coming from Boston, where some of the best ophthalmologists in the world practice, and I can confidently say that Dr. Herbert's standard of care is on par with the best of them. His staff also deserves special mention for their flexibility and warm demeanor. They run a fabulous price-matching program, which shows they truly care about making quality eye care accessible. Overall, an outstanding experience from start to finish. Highly recommend!

I had a good experience at the Nevada clinic. The staff was professional and made the effort to communicate clearly with me as I'm deaf, which I really appreciated. Everyone was attentive and handled everything efficiently. Overall, they did their job well and made sure I was taken care of. I plan to come back soon.

I've purchased three pair of glasses from here in the past 6 mos. If you need new eyeware, stop by this location and ask for Brittany. She's super helpful, courteous, and easy to work with! She'll make you glad you chose this place for your eyeglass needs!!

I loved the choices in glasses. The order came im 7 days. Dr O was very kind and a great listener.

Scheduled an appointment online weeks ago and received the email confirmation. When we arrived they had canceled the appointment and not notified us. Though it is not mentioned on the website, or in the confirmation, their policy is that they will cancel your appointment if you do not confirm by phone. We did not receive the call to confirm so they cancelled without notifying us. If you need to be able to book online, like I do, this is not the place for you.

Ethan did my intake and scheduled my appt previous to today.... very nice staff.... organized and efficient. I will be coming back next year! Thank youuu, Abba Team !!
