The optometrist was great but billing has been a pain. Invoice we received at appointment does not match what you are billed and bill is not itemized to see what is different. Called billing and won't be seeing an itemized bill for another 10-15 business days. I just moved here and so many people I spoke to recommended this place but I've never encountered a problem like this anywhere else. I plan to go elsewhere in the future.

I scheduled an appointment for November 11, 2025. Before the appointment, I called to confirm whether they accepted my insurance. The person on the phone asked what insurance I had, and I explained that I was covered by Medicaid. I was told that yes, they accepted it and that I should not have to pay anything for my visit. When I arrived, the receptionist checked me in, and I completed all of the exams. The doctor came in, listened to my concerns, and offered his suggestions. He even recommended a specialist and said he could provide a referral. After being in pain for two years, I was genuinely hopeful and relieved to finally feel like I was getting somewhere. However, after the appointment, I sat down with another staff member who told me I needed to pay a certain amount before leaving. I was confused because I had already been told over the phone that my insurance would cover the visit. I explained that I could not pay that day and left. Now, in January 2026, I received a bill for $205. To me, this is a major issue. If my insurance was not accepted, that should have been communicated clearly during the initial phone call -- especially since I asked directly. On top of that, the specialist I was referred to did not help either. He did not seem qualified, nor did he take my two years of pain seriously enough to consider further options like surgery. As much as I appreciated the doctor's bedside manner during the exam, I cannot recommend this office due to the lack of communication and overall unprofessionalism.

Dr. Bender provided exceptional care for my 7-year-old daughter. He was incredibly patient, kind, and made her feel completely at ease throughout the entire visit. It's clear he has a wonderful way with children and a genuine passion for what he does. Alyse and Armando were equally warm, professional, and attentive, making the experience seamless from start to finish. We are so grateful for Dr. Bender and his team. Truly outstanding care!

The staff were friendly and efficient. The new doctor, Dr Bender, answered my questions in a clear and concise way helping me understand what things to look out for in the future and how to handle some of my vision concerns of today. I was very pleased with my visit and look forward to going back.

Scheduling and forms were super easy online. All front of house staff were very prompt, kind, and helpful. Dr. Bender explained all the components and results of my exam clearly. I also really appreciate that I can bike here easily from my house!

I loved everything about my experience here. Every person that I worked with was Amazing. Dr Bender is kind and warm. Easy to talk to. They worked with my insurance and helped me pick out the perfect pair of glasses. Highly recommend!

Accurate, comfortable, knowledgeable, kind, and efficient. I enjoyed my visit. Didn't wait to see the doctor. He spent plenty of time making sure I had the right prescription and everything fit well. His helpers were pleasant and very good at what they do. I am very happy with all of them and my rocking glasses and contacts.

Thorough, efficient, and warm. Dr. Bender and Alexis were both skilled and professional. I'll admit I was concerned when my eye doctor office switched to corporate but my visit was very pleasant and easy.
