Fast the third had my glasses there two years It went back for my second pair. The ones I have now one of the best ones that I have ever had. How old about the same thing? Great experience! Techs were professional, courteous, and upbeat. They took the time needed to get good diagnosis and fine tune my prescription. Since I had a meeting, they even allowed for me to come back later to pick out my lenses.
They make sure on the intake that everything is clear, on what is covered, and/or if I wanted additional services.
I highly recommend this Optometry Office and they widely accept insurance carriers, even VA Community Care.

Quite possibly the best pair of glasses yet. I really like the staff, friendly and very knowledgeable. Dr. McAllister always takes the time to explain things and make sure I get the right glasses. I have used Powers Eye Center for the past several years and I always go back because they are the best. They have a great selection of frames and lens options that I have relied on and know that I can get the frames and lenses I need.
When your vision is important, go to a place that cares enough to make sure you get taken care of. Remember, it's the service and staff that make it great.
With Powers Eye Center, I know that I get the glasses I need at a decent price. Best thing is I don't have to get my eyes dilatated, they have a neat machine that takes a picture, and they can show you what your eyes look like on screen.
Better service than the major chains, and friendly too. No high pressure sales pitch, just plain good down home great people.

Unfortunately, my experience here was poor, likely due to a lack of training and experience. I would never recommend using this eye center if you can avoid it. There are other options within just a few minutes. They were not educated with insurance policies, asking for materials my insurance provider confirmed are not required, and had very poor customer service skills. Didn't even make it past the front desk because of how poorly run the office seems to be. Maybe just bad luck as my husband had a very different experience and he was the reason I decided to give this office a try. Bad idea.
The response to this review is even more frustrating given you clearly spoke to the staff about what happened without hearing what I experienced. I asked them if I could call my insurance to have them transfer coverage to your office and I was not given that option. It was either reschedule or proceed without it. I'd be happy to explain more about my experience but you didn't provide any way to get in touch with you.

I usually have a really great experience with this place. Really disappointed in my most recent encounter where my new prescription wasn't working and the only option offered was to go back to my original prescription without even testing the level of prescription in between those two. Very disappointing.
Updated 3/25: Very much appreciated Dr. McAllister reaching out to let me know that they do, in fact, have a prescription in between the two that weren't working for me. While it was a frustrating experience to be told different things by the technicians, I do appreciate the business taking time to correct the issue and making it right. Thank you.
