Dewey is POOEY.
I had an incredibly negative experience with this eye doctor and his staff. From the moment I walked in, the front desk receptionist was dismissive and unprofessional, acting irritated when I simply asked questions or needed assistance. The tech was no better--also visibly annoyed as if doing their job was an inconvenience. She didn't even explain the process or what she was doing.
What really crossed the line was the eye doctor himself. Not only did he seem disinterested in addressing my concerns, but he also spoke to me in a condescending tone. When I mentioned my health priorities, he bluntly told me not to come back and suggested I just go to America's Best instead. I was honestly shocked by his lack of empathy or professionalism.
It felt like my health wasn't being taken seriously, and it left me questioning whether this practice even cares about its patients. I won't be returning, and I strongly suggest others look elsewhere if they want to be treated with respect and professionalism.
I have been seeing both doctors for several years now. I had my cataracts removed and was very happy with the results. I don't know were the complaint about them being rude come from as they have never been anything but super nice and accommodating in my experience.
I absolutely love this group of people. Dr Dewey is wonderful and I had a great appointment with him a couple of months ago-but it definitely takes a team. Big thanks to the ladies up front, and a hearty thanks to Tony. Wonderful group of people.
I realize why some patients here give Dr. Steven Henry Dewey low score: he has a fabulous sense of humor that sometimes sounds sarcastic. HOWEVER, do you want a Gentleman, who doesn't much care about you, or a brilliant surgeon, who can grant you a second shot at seeing well? Yes, you want to choose the best Ophthalmologist, who is simply the Greatest Surgeon, and who is also the inventor of the Dewey Needle used for safer cataract surgeries. Unlike some others, i.e., John Roberts, Dr. Dewey meets with each patient after measurements and pictures are done, for a thorough discussion of surgery, choice of methods and lenses - Dr. Dewey really cares about us-patients.
On March 22, 2023, Dr. Dewey implanted a miracle lens in my right eye, and my vision today in both eyes became 20/20. Do yourself -- and your eyes -- a favor: take his humor for humor's sake, and ask Dr. Dewey to give you a second chance to see well in your life!!!
I would never recommend Dr. Steven Dewey! Since I turned 66 years old, I have had five surgeries in the last year I have never had anything as frightening as what I had on January 18. They did surgery on my cataracts while I was awake they gave me ketamine without even explaining it to me, you cannot imagine the trauma I have gone through, and he acts like he doesn't even care!
I love Dr Dewey's easy style , he connects with the patient and really meets you as a person. We all know that most doctors are pretty smart and some can make you feel a little small because of that reason, Dr Dewey and his staff really care for the patient. And insure that your well being is paramount, thank you guys very much.
I have been seeing Dr.Dewey for 16 years and have had an excellent experience every time. He did my mother's cataracts and she could see without her glasses she's had for 70 years. I highly recommend Dr. Dewey
Dr Dewey not only saved what vision I had left, he improved it. I can now legally drive with one eye without glasses, absolutely amazing!
