recently had an unsatisfactory experience with the front desk staff, particularly receptionist Alexia, when requesting my prescription be sent to me electronically or via a reliable method. I was informed that emailing it would violate HIPAA regulations (though federal guidance from HHS indicates that secure or reasonably safeguarded electronic transmission, including email with precautions, is permitted for patient access to their own records). Instead, I was told I had to pick it up in person, or that faxing was an option but unreliable due to an outdated machine that staff claimed would need replacing at their expense. This felt unnecessarily inconvenient, especially since I was purchasing glasses elsewhere and simply needed my prescription transferred efficiently. It gave the impression the office preferred in-person visits over accommodating reasonable patient requests. No issue-- I went to Sam's Club Optical on Wooden today for an eye exam, and the team there was professional, efficient, and truly customer-focused from start to finish. Highly recommend them if you're looking for straightforward, hassle-free eye care. If the original office improves its communication and prescription-handling processes, it could make a big difference for patients.

Worst experience of my life at an eye doctor. Go anywhere else if you can. Customer service is absolutely horrific. Spent $375 for damaged upon delivery glasses. Told that was "normal". Contacts .5 too strong- told I would need a whole $100+ new appointment to get it corrected .5 lower. Was bullied into purchasing contacts .5 too strong because clerk didn't want to run me numbers with only glasses when I wasn't sure prescription was correct. He kept saying I was saving $300. Doesn't matter if the script is too strong. Just lazy. Then Blonde girl says damage on my glasses is normal. Pathetic. Lazy, untrained, rude customer service people. Should be ashamed but they only care about profit. Wasted $375 on broken glasses and contacts i can't wear. Told that's normal and need another appointment to fix. I wouldn't go here again for any reason. This place is a great example of understaffed and undertrained rude employees who really don't care at all if you're satisfied. Again- I wouldn't go here for any reason. Totally cheap rip off glasses and horrific customer service. Go to Target or anywhere else instead. Just terrible!

This morning, I went in in hopes of getting an old pair of glasses repaired. I wasn't sure if they could even be fixed. I left with a fixed pair of glasses. I have to tell you if you need any repairs done to your glasses I highly recommend this location and Shawna is absolutely fabulous out of this world awesome. She treated me like a human being. She took the time to fix it even though it was a pain of a repair. I truly appreciate the time that she spent with me. Now moving onto the doctor. She is absolutely amazing out of this world as well. I have been coming to this location for over five years now and I highly highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

The process was smooth, transitioning easily from the eye exam to choosing glasses, and the working with customer service to nail down all of the details. Everyone was friendly, the store was labeled and easy to navigate, and the experience was laid back and enjoyable.

Probably the best eye appointment I have ever had! Everything was immaculate. Staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable... and the selection, they have a plethora of choices. All the name brands and then some. They sell sunglasses too.

My wife has taken both my kids in separate occasions here and it has taken hours to be seen. What is the point of having an appointment if it takes at minimum an hour after your appointment time. Today my wife almost had to leave because she was there so long and almost passed out from low blood sugar. This is ridiculous and needs to be fixed asap. I'm sure there's policies against patients showing up late, how come the patients time is not as valued? Patients are the ones that keep yall in business!!

Do not recommend. Staff was unusually rude in my latest visit. Optometrist rushed through exam and would not listen to my input from previous experience with contact lenses. When directly asked about the cost of daily lenses vs the 2 week lenses to which I was accustomed, she gave me a non-answer about not having to pay for contact solution and then left me with the (very helpful and friendly) woman at the checkout desk. Whether it was because she didn't want to admit that she didn't know the answer or because she had a reason to push the dailies, I do not know. Regardless, I found it to be an unpleasant and unhelpful experience. I would recommend looking elsewhere for your vision care.

Such a friendly and welcoming group - eye appointments always stack up at the end of the year and while they ran a LITTLE behind it was not at all a negative experience. Taylor (the associate who helped me find my glasses) found a pair that not only fit my face and style (and she gave me a LOT of excellent suggestions to get an idea of what I would like) but were top shelf frames that were still 100% covered by my insurance.
