I switched to Colorado Ophthamology last year and I'm so glad I did! Dr. Patterson was able to diagnose and provide a solution to a problem that I had been dealing with for years. He takes the time to listen, thoroughly examine, and discuss anything with the patient. I'm very happy and will continue with the practice for my routine eye care.

There is no doctor I trust more with my eyes than Doctor Patterson. He has been my ophthalmologist for over 30 years. Receiving the best care is critical for me since I come from a family with a history of significant eye problems. Doctor Patterson is the ultimate professional. He patiently listens and provides honest feedback. I completely trust his examinations and recommendations. I was one of his first LASIK patients many years ago. I am forever grateful for the care he has given me and my family.

I have been disappointed with Dr Frank. At my last appointment I felt i found out nothing about my eyes. I told him i had lost my prescription reading glasses and i was using over the counter glasses (3) and i cannot see well with them. I had to ask him at the end if he was going to give me a prescription for reading glasses and he says to me. "That is up to you" Really? He is not the friendliest person. I almost feel as if he doesn't like me. I will not be coming back to see Dr. Frank I am sure he is a great eye Doctor but I like facts and to know what is going on. I will have to put 1 star for me because of the above reasons but this does not mean he is not a good Doctor Just not for me barbara

I appreciate the care I have received at this office, however, I had an appointment scheduled for about 8 months. I received a call that that appointment was canceled and was told that my doctor did not have any availability for a full year. I had surgery performed by that doctor and would like to continue my care through them, but the office showed no ability or willingness to work with me. It's been an extremely disappointing situation.

We had a very disappointing experience with the receptionist at this office. From the moment I called, she sounded irritated and unwilling to assist. I was placed on hold for over six minutes, and when she returned, she told me there were now additional callers ahead of me. I explained that I had never hung up and had been first in the queue, but she immediately blamed me and insisted that I had disconnected the call, which was not true. When she finally addressed my questions, she was unhelpful and dismissive. Every question I asked seemed to be an inconvenience, and her tone made it clear she was unwilling to help. I was simply trying to confirm whether my insurance was accepted, as my insurance provider had told me this office was in-network. The receptionist stated the opposite. After further verification with my insurance company, I learned that it is the physician's responsibility to notify providers when they no longer accept certain plans. Because the office had not updated their records, it was still listed as in-network. Despite this, the receptionist appeared frustrated that I was asking reasonable questions and attempting to resolve the issue because the office clearly had not. Anyone in a customer service role should be courteous, patient, and helpful. Unfortunately, that was not our experience, which made this interaction especially disappointing. It's hard to want to get seen as a patient when this is your first impression.

Highly recommend Colorado Ophthalmology Associates. Communication is great, and the practice is very organized. Dr. Jacobs is skilled, professional, and obviously enjoys his work. I never felt rushed, and I completely trust his expertise. From the front desk welcome, to Sandy who did my preliminary workup to the transcripter/notetaker, the staff is just so nice and friendly!

Although I understand being short staffed can be frustrating however patients should NEVER hear about your inner office grievances. Myself and others had to witness non stop complaints of lack of how a colleague called out without explanation, how they should be fired and how they would be better suited as an McDonald's employee, lack of leadership, shift coverage disputes, that peers were not a good fit, peer scheduling mistakes and of what they were NOT doing due to being short staffed. I have never experienced this type of unprofessionalism and misconduct at any healthcare facility. Any office grievances should be held in private and/or after hours. One of the women spoke loudly while interacting with patients and continued slamming the phone down upon outbound patient calls. At one point I thought she would ask a patient for their SSN in a room of over 20+ patrons, while attempting to search for their insurance. A patient came to the desk to check out and was asked if another staff member was in another area. After the patient left, the woman said we're not checking out patients because of being short staffed and complained how the peer is supposed to be at that area. They even discussed how the manager inquired their opinion of terminating another employee, how they needed to handle the schedule changes and the best course to reply to an email. Patients and guests do not need to hear this. Also, an employee does not need to give the reason for calling out nor should leadership ever share with staff the reason why a peer missed work. My God, the complaints went on for 45+ min, long enough for me to hear about your office conflicts. How is this type of behavior acceptable? A male patient checked in, later informed the desk he was going to the restroom in case he was called, both asked each other if was checked in and who he was. Freaking ridiculous, he had already checked in 20 min prior. I have no idea is this is the norm but I definitely do not want to come back.

Good experience for overall care. Had a bit of a wait time while the MD and his scribe were outside talking about lower educated people losing their jobs to technology and AI. Interesting topic, but I can hear everything they said while I waited for them to come in. I'm missing work while they analyze the world.
