This review isn't for the service, but for the situation at this particular location. The One Hour Optical in Davis Pavilion at Denver Health is like an afterthought. It's about the size of a converted utility closet - just a waiting area lined with some chairs, packed with people and kids on a late Tuesday morning, and a help desk dividing you from a back wall displaying a paltry array of frames. You cannot simply walk up to the frames and try a few on to see what you like. No, it appears that the overworked staff has to get a few pairs for you to look at up close. I walked a mile to get here in single digit wind chill, and the situation was so chaotic that I just turned around and headed back home. If you go to this location for glasses, just know what you're getting into.

I had a wonderful experience here. This location is in the Denver Health Complex and is extremely busy. I had to wait only a few minutes to get help. Jason the Manager helped me out. He was extremely nice and professional. He took the time to pick out glasses with me and made sure they were exactly what I wanted. He was so great I came back the following Monday to order myself a fancy new pair of Ray Bans.

This is probably the second review I've ever left a place, but I felt inclined to write this after my experience at the Denver Health Eye Clinic. I made an appointment as a new patient a month out. As I was being taken back to the room with the nurse, I was told that they don't do anything with contacts. That is primarily what I wear and what I was there for in addition to updating my glasses. I was told I would have to receive contact service from somewhere else. So now I am paying a ridiculous amount of $$ to get my glasses prescription, but now I am going to have to pay another min. $100 to get contact service elsewhere when any other eye doctor I've been to does both? And as a young person with no vision insurance, this really negatively affects my bank account. Why wasn't I told this on the phone when I made the appointment? Is it really that hard? I am angry with myself for.not leaving right then and there, but I shouldn't have been put in that position in the first place. Just unfortunate.

I visited this location because Roman had been so helpful, personable and courteous on the phone. I went to get lenses for frames I owned and he greeted me instantly. He was professional, knowledgeable and efficient. Also the other staff were helping other customers. This location helps a lot of people who choose to save time and get great eyeglasses from a super convenient location. Thank you Roman and ladies for your hard work.

02/22/20 - If you're coming in on an early Saturday afternoon (when there's no line) to just get your glasses fixed, the negative reviews shouldn't be relevant to your visit. If you're there for anything else at any other time of any other day, my positive review may not be relevant to you. It was a quick fix (a screw fell out) and she adjusted the frames so they'd fit better too. Took maybe two minutes. The only difficulty was finding the building (it's the D part of the E building IIRC).

Worst optical ever! Frames are not accessible to try on because the frames are located on the walls behind the counter 12-15 feet away! My perception is the two young ladies are mainly there to get a paycheck. There's no privacy, customer service is terrible!

Costumer service is 20x better than when they were located in the old building, I ordered my glasses and they showed up just a few days later, the staff were very nice and inviting
