Sumner Vision

I love doctors in Sumner Vision and all staff are super nice. I am not satisfied with the prescribed eye glasses. I first notice there will be discount (said on website) only if I mentioned during the process of getting a new glasses after eye exam. I did not notice that until later. I got 500+ on one pair of glasses after insurance. I got way more economic selections else where. Secondly, the screw connecting my lenses and glass frame has been loosen for twice and my lense falls out. This doesn't even happen in my $100 eye glass. I would say do eye exam here and get glasses elsewhere.

Dr. Meyette is a true gem of an optometrist. During my visit he was friendly, thorough, and he explained every aspect of my vision and overall eye health in a way that was clearly understandable. I had a very pleasant experience with him and with everyone I interacted with in the office. I definitely recommend Sumner Vision.

My wife had an incredibly frustrating experience here trying to get a simple pair of contact lenses. After multiple failed attempts to get her prescription right -- despite her clearly explaining that the lenses were not working -- the staff seemed more interested in insisting that their numbers were correct rather than actually listening to the patient. Instead of acknowledging the issue or offering real solutions, they resorted to gaslighting her by claiming that her vision was perfectly fine at 20/20 -- even though she could clearly tell her vision was off and uncomfortable. It felt dismissive, unprofessional, and honestly insulting to be told that what she was experiencing wasn't real. We expected care and accuracy -- not attitude and deflection. We will definitely be taking our business elsewhere and recommend others think twice before trusting this place with their vision needs. Edit: After posting this review, Dr. Sumner personally reached out to us and took the time to make things right. We genuinely appreciate that they cared enough to follow up and resolve the situation. It's clear that they value their patients and are willing to correct mistakes when they happen. That effort meant a lot to us.

I scheduled an appointment. There was an emergency day of so the office called me to reschedule. Stuff happens, I hope everyone is okay. The infuriating part is I received the confirmation of my appointment reschedule, as well as a reminder morning of my appointment. I take time out of work to drive across town to walk in the front door and be told that "oh we can't find the doctor, we'll have to reschedule again". Why couldn't I be called to be informed that the doctor was apparently missing? I inform them I am no longer interested in an appointment at their practice. I then get an automated call later asking me to book a follow up appointment. Ridiculous lack of patient care.

Alan at Dr Sumner and the whole staff were all amazing. Dr Sumner was thorough and very kind. Alan made sure that I pick a fashionable and beautiful frame for my face. The overall experience was totally first class. I highly recommend Sumner vision for excellent service and outstanding professionalism

I booked an appointment despite the bad reviews about office staff and big mistake. Their booking/admin is a mess. I booked an appointment for my little sister because they were listed as a network provider. I provided insurance details several days ahead of time only for them to ask for our insurance AGAIN upon arrival and tell me they don't take her insurance. Then I try to take the appointment for myself since I have a different insurance that they do take, only for them to tell me they are fully booked. When I asked how they were fully booked when we already had this appointment time scheduled, they admit they actually double booked it. No apology or attempt to fit the appointment in from their mistakes. I wasn't even going to leave a review since I didn't get to actually experience their eye services, but then the nonsense continued even after I left. Less than an hour after leaving and scrambling to find an appointment elsewhere, I receive a voicemail from them saying that it's been over a year since my last exam and that I am due for an eye exam so I should call to book . I've never been a client there previously, and they just turned me away for an appointment I booked ahead of time. Why are they calling me to book? I am not sure what is going on there, but if you don't want to deal with the headache, avoid this place.

Dr. Sumner and his team are amazing! I require medically necessary scleral contacts due to corneal damage and Severe dry eyes. He is the first Doctor to fit me into the correct size and shape without pain and swelling. I have been wearing them since 2013 and he is the best Doctor for prescribing scleral lenses. He will keep trying until he has the perfect fit for you. Most eye doctors are not trained or skilled enough to fit scleral lenses and will not provide them. He was recommended by my medical corneal specialist M.D. I drive an hour each way to see him and he is worth it.

Dr. Smith is a great eye doctor, she answered all my questions and made me feel listened to. Happy I found this practice that is so thorough with all their patients. I also went and saw the other eye doctor here before and felt really comfortable and like he did a thorough job as well.
