I really wanted to give a score of 5 stars, but I wasn't greeted upon my arrival with a "good morning". It was started with "May I help you" in a very condescending manner as if I was an intrusion. The optical technician was also not initially welcoming. After the conclusion of my appointment the environment was a little friendlier, but as they say first impressions are lasting impressions. Fortunately the optometrist was friendly and welcoming. On another note maybe the employees should try to dress a little more professionally which would give a better impression of the business as a whole.
Vision works was great! The exam was quick and easy and they have a ton of glasses options, will definitely be back! The staff was also very friendly and helpful and the doctor was very kind and professional and helped explain a lot of my questions.
Update: Manager is "trying" to help...
I arrived for my 9a appointment and wasn't let in until almost five minutes after (the front door was locked and the manager was opening, late apparently). I then ordered contacts to be delivered to my home. I never received them. Upon calling the store, I was told (by the manager) that there's nothing they can do and they are not liable. She said I was told at check-out that if anything happens during delivery, I would not be refunded. This is a complete and total lie and I was NEVER informed of this policy. If I was, I would have opted to pick them up upon arrival. I'm now out almost $200.
The doctor was very informative and the associates in the office were very helpful. It was a smooth transaction. I wasn't comfortable. I didn't get frustrated and I think I paid exactly what I needed and my money is worth paying for it.
Eye exam was good and I liked my optometrist. However, you can't access your Rx unless you physically go to the store to have them print it out from a printer that makes it nearly unreadable. Frames are extremely overpriced and horrible cheap plastic where they up-charge you for everything little thing, including basic anti-glare. The wait when you walk in is inevitably long even when there aren't any other patrons inside. When my frames came in, I was notified that they were ready, and when I went there to pick them up, my entire order was not ready and the other pair did not come for two weeks. There's nothing convenient about this business besides parking, so I recommend you go elsewhere.
Horrible horrible customer service offered by Sergio. I scheduled an appointment online as I always do but for my son. When we arrived I was informed that they are having issues with their online confirmation system and since they did not receive a confirmation from the company they contract out my son did not have any appointment, but we could wait and see if the next appointment scheduled no shows. I asked why did I not receive an email or a phone call and all Sergio could formulate was "Like I said" the confirmation company "like I said" like I said" no compassion, no apology for the inconvenience, no accountability for the screw up, just blame put onto another company. He was very dismissive and unapologetic and should definitely be offered additional customer service training to know how to better navigate situations like this especially if this is an ongoing issue.
I went to Visionworks for an eye exam and to order both contacts and glasses. During the exam, I told the doctor my preferred brand of contacts and the solution I use. He said they didn't have that brand in stock and gave me a completely different brand instead. The sample contacts he provided were also a different prescription from what I needed.
When my box of contacts was shipped to me, the prescription was still wrong which explained the headaches I'd been having. Unfortunately, the glasses I ordered caused the same issue, so I'm certain the prescription for those is incorrect as well.
It's hard to trust an optometrist who can't provide the correct prescription for either contacts or glasses. On top of that, the customer service was disappointing. There were four employees working, and not one offered help while I tried to pick out frames.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was incredibly frustrating. Getting the right prescription is the most basic expectation when visiting an eye care provider, and Visionworks failed to meet it.
Very poor customer service. They have a limited response AI answering machine that takes very long to comprehend what you're asking and then to actually speak to someone, it is extremely irritating and very lengthy to final get through to a person. Obviously they do not have time for their potential customers. Then the staff I spoke to sounded very irritated and spoke to me with an attitude. I spoke very nicely and was responded to with a very unwelcoming and annoyed tone. If scheduling is such an issue, then why work there? I definitely am taking my business elsewhere.
