The doctor that saw me was great. Where it went downhill is trying to get my prescription at the pharmacy. Went to try and pick up my prescription and found out it was never called in. Had to wait until the next day and after 2 calls into the eye Center to please call in the prescription, someone finally called me at 1:30pm saying it had finally been called in! Went to pick it up 2 hours later and found out the pharmacy put a call into the doctor to see if they could use the generic version due to expense. They called at 2pm and still no phone call from the doctor. It's 6:30 pm, so no prescription until tomorrow. My eyes hurt and those drops would help! To me, this is unacceptable!
This was one of the most efficient appointments I've had in years. Not only that, the staff was courteous and seemed genuinely concerned about customer service.
I don't remember the tech (soon to be Dr) that did my eye exam, but she was friendly, thorough and definitely an asset to the practice.
I wasn't aware I was see another physician, I was expecting to see Dr Randall Smith.
So when the front desk told me I was seeing someone else, I gringed.
But, I pleasantly surprised to have someone who took time to introduce himself, carefully checked my test results and didn't seem to be so rushed.
Dr Alexis Anderson was thorough, professional, attentive and sincere about taking time to explain my diagnosis (Field Vision and Pressure checks) On the other hand, the optical department, in my opinion, has diminished with attentive to cleanliness of the sample frames; some of the frames were in disarray and the cost(range $225-$400+) was medium-high in price, although 30% signs appeared around multiple displays. While waiting to sign in and speak with an optician, I was aware that the three opticians were busy with clients and one of them was engaged in conversation that didn't apply to eyeglass logistics. I get it. The optician was friendly, yet I realize I would have to wait about 15 minutes until I was called to sit down and discuss ordering eyeglasses. So, I left.
I asked for my medical records and the previous prescription I had so that I can give it to my new eye doctor as the eye center doesn't take my insurance anymore. They can't find anything besides trials (I've never had trial contact lenses because mine are a size smaller than the typical trial lenses they keep) prescribed in 2024. This is now the third time I have called and I keep getting transferred. No one there on their staff has ever been kind to me at their front desk, accounting (claimed they didn't take my insurance when they had and never refunded me so they have payment from me and my insurance from 2020 or 2021), or anywhere else except their actual medical staff. Which is a shame because their medical staff is actually really great. A shame that the front desk staff and everyone else is so incredibly rude (I have had to fight them up until 2023 to tell them that they accepted my insurance with even my insurance offering to call them to explicitly explain how to run my insurance). You know it's bad when insurance offers to call an office to explain that a person is covered.
I was 10 minutes early for my appointment. I was called back 25 minutes later than my appointment time to see the assistant. I was then left in the room for another 40 minutes before the doctor came in. It seems there is a trend with the Eye Centers as they are always very, very behind with keeping to scheduled appointments. When I show up on time I expect to not wait that long to be seen or at least have the courtesy to call me and let me know they are running behind. I then don't need to leave work early to get there. Common courtesy would be most appreciated as you expect me to be on time so I expect the same treatment in return.
Dr Marske and Emily spent an exceptional amount of time tweaking my contact lense prescription. I needed to change lenses prior to cataract surgery and they worked with my surgeon to achieve an outstanding result. I appreciate their patience and outstanding service.
I had a post surgical (surgery was performed in Salt Lake City) dilemma requiring help from my local Ophthalmologist. The office got me in right away and totally took care of me from the Front Desk, back to Courtney, over to Mark in the Optical Dept, to checking out. Every person I encountered was pleasant, eager to help, went above and beyond, with a level of professionalism that one would hope for when visiting their clinic. Thank you for taking such good care of me today!
Rudest front desk / triage I ever experienced in my life. I have been seeing eye specialists my entire 43 years of life, and generally they are warm and welcoming, especially when you have an eye disease causing blindness.
Not this place! I am having an eye emergency where I am unable to drive, and the front desk said I have no choice but to drive to Denver to see my eye doctor there. No sense of compassion. No empathy. She talked down to me as if I don't know what RP, MGD, and ocular rosacea are.
I am appalled that you would keep someone on staff in your triage / front desk that talks to people this way.
I am in an insane amount of eye pain and all you did was degrade and belittle me.
Be warned Fort Collins- don't bother with this place.
I read the other reviews stating similar, negative interactions.
Again, just appalled.
