Robbins Eye Center

Went to Robbins after being referred by Yale, for my follow up visit i received a voicemail the day before the visit saying Dr. Robbins day. off is Friday and she wont make the 9:30 appointment to call to reschedule, i took it upon myself to find a new optometrist, Friday comes and i received another voicemail at 9:10am 20 minutes before the cancelled appointment saying if I can be there at 9:15 she can see me. Im looking for a bit more professionalism.

All Love. Mom has trouble walking, and the parking, elevator & office was a short walk. Waited 5 minutes for front desk to serve another client. It took one minute to check in and no wait to see first tech. Staff all helped each other. Dr Robbins was thorough, friendly, not pushy and took time to explain everything. She is serious about running a tight ship and navigated our uneasiness about cataract surgery with care. Peter was a gem & helped with our next appointment and final questions. I would highly recommend. Thank you Dr Robbins for being here in Fairfield and serving our community for many years. God bless you and your staff.

I had an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience at this office. I went in for a routine eye exam and simply requested a prescription for glasses. To my surprise, I soon received a bill for $140. This was shocking, especially considering that previous visits to other in-network providers only required a standard copay. I contacted the office immediately and was told it was a billing error, and that I could disregard the charge. However, shortly afterward, I received a revised bill for $60. I called again--twice--seeking clarification, but was told each time that the billing department would get back to me. No one ever followed up. To this day, the charge remains unresolved, and I still have no explanation for what I was billed for. This entire experience has been deeply unprofessional and has left me feeling very uncomfortable. It's unacceptable for a provider that is supposedly in-network to be so unclear and unresponsive about billing. I cannot recommend this practice based on how poorly the situation was handled.

Dr. ROBBINS IS THE BEST. I CANT THANK HER ENOUGH. IM SO HAPPY WITH MY LASIK RESULTS.

Very helpful and caring staff, technicians and doctors. I had a terrible eye infection and was able to get an appointment right away. Waited less than 5 minutes to be seen. They took pictures of my eyes and then checked my vision. Saw Dr. Cartwright who was great. He gave me a prescription for an antibiotic / steroid eye drop. Office space is bright and clean. Parking was easy. They do have handicapped accessible parking right in front of the entrance. I also spotted a wheel chair in the waiting room.

Beware of this scam. I had two phone calls for appointment and one in-person visit to talk about their accepted insurance. However, No one mention they do not accept vision plan with these three opportunities. Now they charged through medical insurance, so I have to pay everything out of my pocket. Now, they lie they talked to me they do not accept my vision plan. I could see how is their billing practice in general. I do not recommend here in any occasion. You will be scammed.

Dr. Rao is new to this practice, and I just want to say: she is AMAZING! I saw her in Greenwich this summer after a tennis incident that landed a ball straight into my eye. I was a new patient and was very lucky to find her that day. She took great care of me on 3 different visits over the course of a month. Never a waiting time, always available and answering all my questions. Because I was out of the country for a few weeks during that time period, she even proactively anticipated how to best treat my condition while abroad, and when I returned she remembered all my details and knew exactly what to do next. I am so grateful for her help, and now my vision is back to normal again!

Last visit here was awful. I do not recommend at all!!!! They had me waiting in the waiting room for almost 2 hours before being brought in to a room to be examined. And then the technician who I have never seen before and I have been going to Robbins eye center for more then 5 years was very rude huffing and puffing getting mad at me when I could not see the chart to read the letters and after she finished I was told a different Dr then my normal Dr would be seeing me. When I question her she told me that my Dr. that I have been seeing for the past 4 years left the practice. One it would of been nice to let me know that when I made the appointment and not side blinding me at my appointment. Well I had to wait another 30 minutes in the exam room to wait for the Dr. to come in she had did her exam so fast I didn't have time to think. My eyes were never dilated and check for glaucoma. Which I always get done every year because glaucoma runs in my family she just told me my specialist eye Dr. I go to can do it. Also I was charged for a contact fitting and could not have it done because they did not have my strength for my eyes in stock as well. So all and all I never got my full exam or contacts had to wait 2 1/2 hours before being seen by a Dr to be told I had to come back another day. But they still charged me full price for everything even though I did not get a full exam and wasn't given any results of what they did and wanted to charge me again when my strength of contacts came in.
