Excellent service from the very beginning. The staff was kind, attentive, and always willing to guide us through the entire process. Even though Spanish is not their native language, they made a great effort to assist us in Spanish and even helped with translation during the vision exam. Carlie, a very sweet woman, was the one who guided us through this excellent experience. I live in Florida and was able to give a special gift to someone close thanks to the great service at this optical store.

Be forewarned that you may have an appointment with a virtual eye doctor while at your appointment. I had an eye exam and contact fitting scheduled and received a call that they were canceling my contact fitting due to the eye doctor being remote. Very concerning as your eyes need to be physically examined in addition to all of the all of the testing that needs to be performed to confirm prescription, astigmatism, etc... seems very unsafe

This place won't last long. Why am I still waiting to be seen by the Dr 1 hr later??? But wait there's 2 patients infront of me! I read the reviews and it seems to me this is a regular thing here. I'm walking out because this is not the way to treat customers. I hv followed this business though out 3 other states and never had to encounter this. Dr Wang can run her store how she wants, but I will not be her patient. Sorry Americas Best time has come to part ways. I do not recommend this place.

I had heard about America's Best and this was my first time going there . It started out first with my phone call to the Farmington CT store and my call was excellently handled by Store Representative Carlie who was so friendly and helpful and knowledgeable about my situation with my insurance and she handled it so excellently and made sure that there would be no problems. She explained everything in detail and made sure I knew everything before I come to the store. I arrived at the store and was very impressed and very pleasantly greeted by Carlie and my wait was a very pleasant experience to be escorted and shown all the glasses and which ones look very good on me. I really appreciate the excellent personal service that I received and helped by Carlie to make a very well informed decision to purchase the best pair of glasses that really looked so great on me. . There is no high pressure sales and there is a very relaxed atmosphere to make me comfortable in my purchase. The selections are very affordable and all the options available in styles and tastes and this is really so much a pleasure to shop for eyeglasses here. The next step was for me to meet Carlo which is the store Manager and Carlo really was the best to help me in preparing my insurance and explained my prescription information and costs that really was a very great benefit to my wallet and not sacrificing quality. Carlo went into great detail and effort to get me the best deal possible and made absolutely sure that I was very satisfied with the outcome. I must say that America's Best Store in Farmington CT truly lives up to its name America's Best and the Best People are here to always strive to make your shopping experience here the Best that you can ever find anywhere. No long waits ever.

Wait until they have a full-time doc & have their machines working before you make an appt. I told the eye doc (Dr. Wong) I was having headaches & needed new bifocals as well as new computer glasses. She told me headaches can be caused by "anything" & did not give me an RX for computer glasses, despite me asking twice before I left the exam room. I gave up & left - I'll just go elsewhere instead of being rushed through my appointment. Editing to add that I still needed the correct prescription, so I went to Target Optical & was able to get in to be seen last-minute. Not only were they nice & listened to what I had to say (& gave me an RX for regular glasses as well as single vision computer glasses), but when I got home & compared the two, the one from America's Best was wildly different (& likely incorrect, based on how rushed it was). Just save yourself the hassle & go to Target first. Update 2/8/25 - Carlo reached out & apologized for the experience I had there. He said to please ask for a manager on the spot should anything like that ever happen again & it will be remedied before I leave. He refunded the coat of my exam & said he hoped they could re-earn our business. Super nice guy! Appreciate the prompt follow-up for sure.

I highly recommend this store in specific. Even though I drove for almost to hours, it was worth it. I had a wonderful experience with the entire team. The Doctor was kind, sweet and informative. The front desk ladies were friendly, kind, and really helpful. I really enjoyed being helped by all specially the Dori and Karen! I will come back next time I am due for an exam or new glasses. Below you will see how happy I am with the two pairs of glasses I got. I love them! Thank you Ladies!

This place is an absolute waste of time! I waited for over a month for this appointment. When I booked my appointment, they never informed me that I wouldn't be seeing the doctor in person. Instead, they told me it would be done remotely. And when I showed up, they had the audacity to tell me that I would be talking to the doctor over facetime. How reliable can that be, really? It's ridiculous! Make sure you know what you're getting into when you book, so you don't end up wasting your time with this absurd setup.

I waited over 3 weeks for the appointment, they ran over 30 mins late and when I got into the room they told me it was a virtual appointment. No one ever told me this head, not when I booked or when I arrived! The doctor virtually did little to no testing on me and made decisions without discussing my situation at all. I also got little to no help selecting frames. In addition, the frames were not as "cheap" as advertised. I will not go back!
