FOCUS: Doctors of Optometry, P.C.

I had a really nice experience at FOCUS and Warby Parker overall. The staff was friendly and the appointment itself went smoothly. My only complaint is related to insurance. I confirmed with my insurance company ahead of time that they were listed as in-network, but later found out they were not. I was surprised that insurance information wasn't verified prior to the appointment or that patients aren't notified when a provider is out-of-network. As someone who works in healthcare, I understand that it is ultimately the patient's responsibility to verify coverage--which I believed I had done. Unfortunately, this resulted in paying $130 out of pocket instead of my usual $40 copay. Because of this, I likely would not use them again, despite an otherwise positive experience.

Dr. Safner was absolutely amazing. He was extremely thorough during my eye exam and took the time to explain everything in detail, even issues that required a referral. He was kind, highly knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful. I was a bit disappointed to learn he primarily works in the DC office and only visits here monthly, but regardless, the entire staff was also wonderful. Highly recommend!

Surprisingly awesome experience getting an eye exam here! The doctor did an amazing job and everyone who assisted us was super friendly and accommodating. Not to mention, their frames are beautiful and I'm excited to get my glasses! Highly recommend for eye exams and new frames or prescriptions!

I saw Florian Safner, O.D., and his associate for a routine eye exam at Warby Parker inside of Westfarms Mall. I was seen right away by the associate optometrist and kindly introduced and ushered to see Dr. Safner for a more extensive exam. This was my second eye exam, so I appreciated being walked through each of the exams with clear directions. I felt comfortable through my entire visit. The examination rooms appeared tidy and clean. FOCUS offered to present me with documents to submit a claim to my insurance which personally wasn't necessary (since I was out-of-network), however, the price of the exam was very reasonable and both the associate and Dr. Safner gave great care. I will definitely consider FOCUS for future eye care!

I had the most comprehensive exam with Dr. Patricia Youngquist at Warby Parker, Westfarms Mall location in West Hartford. CT. Dr. Patty was very calming, personable and professional! Top Notch operation, FOCUS: Doctors of Optometry!

I chose this office because the call center identified it as a site that offered retinal imaging. It did not. My appointment was for 9:50am, but doors were locked because they do not open till 10:00am. I proceeded with the appointment & found delightful, helpful, knowledgable staff. The last step was glasses selection. Despite the many styles & colors, only 1 pair properly fit the bridge of my nose. This was my biggest disappointment.

What a delightful experience! I didn't even realize they were located behind Warby Parker which made the entire experience seamless (and far cheaper than going to a typical ophthalmologist location). But more than that, the doctor and assistant were so kind and funny, and both clearly loved their jobs. It showed in the customer experience and how friendly they were. Will never go anywhere else!

Grace Kehoe was absolutely phenomenal! I haven't had a good eye exam in a while so it was refreshing to have an Eye Doc who asked the needed questions to make sure my prescription was right for me. She was the first doctor to let me know about my astigmatism change which answers my issue regarding a slight blur I see sometimes. The technician was also very warm and friendly throughout the screening process. Thank you FOCUS!
