My experience with this office has been nothing but perfectly and refreshingly pleasant from the very first call to my last follow up. That's hard to find these days, but I've found it here. Thank you Dr. Conrod and to your front desk staff for being awesome!

I would rate this place a 2 out of 5. The only reason I'm giving it two stars is because the doctor is genuinely very kind and professional. However, the receptionist--specifically the blonde woman with blue eyes and who I believe is from Europe--is consistently with a terrible attitude. I've been coming here since the COVID era, and her attitude has not changed in all these years. It's disappointing to see someone with such poor customer service representing the front desk.

Since my longtime optometrist retired a couple of years ago, I've been searching for a replacement that would be as caring and reliable as he was. Dr. Conrod fit the criteria perfectly and I feel that we will have an equally effective doctor patient relationship as I did with my previous doctor. In my search I had gone to a couple of "highly" recommended doctors but all they cared about was their bottom line, rushing through the appointment, displaying annoyance if I asked too many questions, and office staff that were outright rude and unprofessional. Dr. Conrod is knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, and understanding. If you're looking for a doctor who cares about his patients and their eye care needs and eye health, then this is the place for you.

Doctor Tom Conrod has always been incredibly friendly, professional, and knowledgeable on every check in. He's been my lifelong eye Doctor and I'm incredibly grateful for being in such great hands all these years. Outside of his office, the staff are always helpful and a pleasure to speak with. Can't recommend this office enough to anyone who wants their eyes cared for by a top notch Doctor.

Courteous, professional, and personal. Not only are Dr. Conrod and the entire staff all of these things, but you talk directly to a pleasant person when you call there. No menus, no buttons to push, and no technical glitches that result in abruptly, prematurely ended calls. Dr. Conrod never makes you feel rushed. You get his full attention. And the entire staff is just first rate in every aspect of their service.

I went to Hamden Eye as a kid-they taught me how to put in contact lenses as a teenager, and then I had to change doctors due to them not taking my insurance. I went to another doctor for years and he unfortunately passed away, so I came back to Hamden Eye. I'm so glad I did. Dr Conrod is so kind and professional. He always makes sure my eyes are in good health so that I can continue to wear contacts(my prescription is terrible! He told me that I don't have the best vision, but very healthy eyes and he wants to keep them that way). They are up to date and great with COVID procedures. Great office.

Today I called Dr. Conrod at Hamden Eye Associates. I accidentally poked myself in the eye with the arm of my eye glasses I called Hamden Eye Associates and the associate at the Reception desk listened attentively to my issues. She told me the doctor would call me as soon as he was finished with a patient. I did not have to wait long at all. I was in such pain. Who knew an eye could hurt so much. Dr. Conrod also listened to me very attentively. I feel like a dummy poking my own self but he was very kind and comforting. He explained to me in detail what he was going to prescribe and how I should administer. He took time with me as I wrote down his instructions. I gave him my pharmacy information. I called my pharmacy to see if they had filled my Rx and they told me that they had to order it and it would not be available to me until tomorrow. By now, my eye is throbbing. My daughter called back to Dr. Conrod and told His associate that I was unable to fill the script. Immediately, they started to call around to different pharmacies to see if they could locate the Rx for me. They located the medications for me. My goodness!!!!!! Who does that today?? Ginny you went wayyyyyy upon and beyond for me. I, so appreciate all the kindnesses extended to me today... I so needed. That includes you as well Dr. Conrod. I am so grateful to Hamden Eye Associates!!!!!!

Today is my first time to be here in order to fix the frame of my glasses instead of doing eye exam or getting the new prescription. However, the technician was so nice, patient and professional that I decided to schedule an eye exam with the doctor here to give it a try.
