To begin, I wanted to point out that the doctor himself is always nice, patient, and easy to work with. At least he has been with me.
His business, on the other hand, is an absolute nightmare.
You can schedule appointments only on Tuesday through Friday, and they are open until 6 pm. Appointments are booked every 10 minutes apart, even though the exams take significantly longer than that, so be prepared to wait a considerable amount of time. To make matters worse, there are only 4 or 5 chairs in the waiting area - I had to stand for 59 minutes after my scheduled appointment before I saw someone.
There is no cross-training with the office staff; if they cant find your glasses (even though they told you they were in) and the optician is out sick, you can wait until they return, or the office will force them to call you from their home. I find this surprising, because there is a rather large staff there - its a shame service is affected.
Lastly, I was really surprised when my glasses did not come with a branded case. In the past, I have always received a nicely branded glasses case and cleaning cloth, but this time, my Ralph Lauren glasses came with a generic made-in-China case and a "Independent Vision" lens cleaner as if they were cleaning out the swag closet.

My experience with Lighthouse Vision has been nothing short of exceptional. Dr. Dincher and his staff are incredibly caring and personable; from the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable. The team is remarkably thorough, taking the time to explain every part of the exam and all available treatment options. I've never been to a practice so determined to see a patient through to a 100% recovery. I highly recommend Lighthouse Vision to anyone looking for expert, compassionate care.
I cannot express enough gratitude for how much Dr. Dincher helped me. I struggled with extreme dry eye for 8 years. I've tried every medication available, paying absurd amounts of money in hopes of finding relief. I was going through 2-3 boxes of over the counter drops per week in between using the prescription drops so that I could get through the day without feeling like I had sandpaper on my eyes every time I blinked. Nothing I tried relieved my dry eyes.
Prior to going to Dr. Dincher's practice I tried 3 other eye specialists that were not able to provide me with relief of my dry eye. The moment I met Dr. Dincher I knew he was different. He gave me the most in depth consult I've ever received. He was thorough and meticulous during his evaluation of my eyes and he went over the imaging he took as well as a play back of the video of his evaluation while he explained his observations. He went over treatment therapies that he believed would treat my dry eye as well as improve the damage that occurred to my eyes as a result of my dry eye being unmanaged for so long. Dr. Dincher sent me videos going over the therapies that are offered to treat my symptoms so that I can make an informed decision about the route I wanted to take. I couldn't believe that I hadn't even heard of or been offered 3 of those treatment options by the other specialists I visited prior to coming to Lighthouse Vision.
After receiving treatment at Lighthouse Vision my dry eye is now managed for the first time in 8 years and my health and quality of life has substantially improved. I hope others who are experiencing eye trouble will put their trust in Dr. Dincher because his knowledge, the therapies he offers and education he provides his patients is unmatched.
My local "myeyedr" told me I have keratoconus and he really couldn't help me. He recommended Dr. Stephen Dincher, OD. BUT the office is 1 1/2 from my house. I decided to call and make an appointment to "SEE" what the recommendation was all about (phun intended). The moment I walked it I was treated great. I was told I needed scleral contact lenses. I was told the exam and lens were very expense. Dr. Dincher's staff and checked with my insurance would cover my exam and lenses. I received my lens and I can see like I never could before, my whole life has changed. I can't believe what I was missing. Because of my keratoconus previous contacts never fit properly. I recommend Lighthouse Vision to anybody that needs an eye Dr. and staff that goes above and beyond. Especially if you need scleral lenses.
More concerned about making money than being a doctor. Since the new owner they have a totally different mission and the quality is by far worse now than before. The Dr wrote my eyeglass prescription a full 1.00 higher than my contacts prescription and when asked multiple times about this, said it was correct. It wasn't until I tried new eye Dr that my suspicions were confirmed. What Dr writes a wrong prescription and wastes their patients money, not a very good or honest one.
This place is an embarrassment to the word "clinic." I had a 12:00 PM appointment and still waited half an hour just to speak to the receptionist-who, instead of helping patients, was too busy fumbling with a TV remote trying to get Netflix to work. When I scheduled over the phone, I was quoted $150 for contact lenses. Once I arrived, that suddenly became $275 plus another $150. That's not a misunderstanding; that's bait-and-switch.
To make things worse, I watched an elderly couple get charged $1,200 for two pairs of glasses while the staff acted like they were doing them a favor. The entire atmosphere was condescending and judgmental--I was treated like a child and made to feel like my time didn't matter.
If you value honesty, professionalism, or basic respect, avoid Lighthouse Vision. They're overpriced, disorganized, and clearly more focused on squeezing money out of people than actually helping them see
We first used Lighthouse Vision last year and we very impressed with the Doctor and his wonderful staff. I had a question and left a message on the phone. The doctor himself called me on a Sunday!! Where else does that happen?
We have since moved and decided to drive 90 minutes to continue with Lighthouse Vision. They are totally worth the drive.
We just had our annual appointment and we're still thoroughly impressed with the service. I purchased glasses for the first time. I apologize for not knowing their names(I'm terrible at names) but they are all awesome. My insurance company covers only so much and I have to use their company. The lovely young lady told me if I used their regular company it would be cheaper for me without using my insurance. She saved me a bunch of money. I am totally pleased with everything about them.
My first visit was excellent. From the friendly, outgoing staff. The place was immaculate. The latest up to date technology. Dr. Dincher was great! Friendly, and took time to explain, not rushed. I HIGHLY recommend Lighthouse Vision. He gave me new contacts and I can see 100% better without readers. My life feels improved after my visit. Thank you!! A+++++++!
