Park Lane Eye Care

I had my comprehensive eye exam today with Dr. Roberts. The exam was very thorough and informative. He explains everything clearly and was easy to talk to. By far the most comprehensive and comfortable experience I've had at the eye doctor, would highly recommend.

I hadn't been in to Park Lane since 2017 or so. Since it's been 5 years, I decided to make an appointment so that I can get a new pair of glasses. Unfortunately, my insurance doesn't cover my appointment, but they told me that ahead of time, along with the price the visit will cost me out of pocket. I agreed. After going in and having my eyes checked out (a very pleasant visit where I felt comfortable at all steps), Dr. Roberts helped me pick out a new pair of glasses. Everything is normal, like other eye centers, right? Here's the kicker. He decides to make the final price of my visit along with my new glasses exactly the same as it was 5 years ago. Exactly the same. Even with different insurance, different glasses, and everything costing more right now. Same exact price. I can't express how amazed I am by a small business with a wonderful Doctor who is so caring about his patients that he would ensure that I pay no more now than I did 5 years ago. If you can, please support this small business. Dr. Roberts is just wonderful, and I hope he stays around for many more years to come.

I've met Dr. Roberts and John from around town and didn't think twice about using them for my eye care. Dr. Roberts was the first doctor that I've seen as an adult and it was a great experience. He was kind and very thorough during the exam and walked me through all the steps. John is a very direct, to the point kind of guy, and I appreciated his assertiveness when I needed help picking out frames. Both of these professionals were so kind and generous to me. I picked up my new glasses days after the appointment and couldn't be happier.

Could not be happier with the service I've always received here. Dr.Roberts is thorough and never rushes through his eye exam, he answers every question and always makes the visit very comfortable. John is the only man I trust with picking out my frames (sorry to My hubby) but John has an incredible knack of knowing exactly what's "right" for my face. The staff is always friendly and welcoming and I imagine the personalized service is nothing you'd ever find in the big chain eyeglass stores.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. The doctor is very nice an thorough. He explains everything and makes you feel very comfortable. I took my nephew there yesterday to purchase some glassed and again the doctor (and staff) were terrific.

Went there to get contact lens and each time (3x) I went back they didn't work. I called to come back in they wanted to charge me again. No ma'am you never fitted me with comfortable contacts 3 times I came. Been wearing contacts for 20 plus years and this is the 1st time I had a problem. Went through get glasses off the prescription they gave and after paying out of pocket for a new exam. My eye exam wasn't right from the start. I want return to this place nor waste my eye exam insurance here.

I have been a patient of Dr. Roberts for several years. I actually live in Florida and come up to Connecticut every year for an eye exam and new glasses. Dr. Roberts is patient and explains things very well. The staff (especially John and Paul) are amazing. I always depend on John to pick out just the right frames for me!!

These folks are awesome. The staff was highly professional and courteous. Dr. Roberts gave me an extremely thorough eye exam and was extremely helpful explaining everything he was doing and why. I'm lucky that I have pretty decent vision, but have been feeling like I need reading glasses for certain times, especially in dimly lit rooms or restaurants at night when trying to read menus. I'm always dragging the candle on the table over to my menu to light it up or using my iPhone light to read it. Dr. Roberts confirmed that a pair of reading glasses would be a good idea, and also explained the lifestyle implications of having to take them with you. They have a very large selection of frames and came up with numerous options for me that made me look good without breaking the bank. They have lots of different designer frames and Mr. Uhran, the optician, patiently went through lots of them with me to find something that was just right. Safe to say there's something for everyone, given the variety they have. Highly recommended for anyone needing an eye exam and eye care that you head down to Park Lane. They rock!
