The Eye Care Group

I had such a wonderful experience at my eye doctor's office today. (The Eye Care Group, Waterbury) Everyone that I interacted with from the friendly receptionist who checked me in to the technicians who did my different eye tests - was terrific! I want to give a special shout out to Ebony, who truly went the extra mile. She was professional, kind and a lot of fun to talk with. Her personality really made the visit enjoyable! Thank you to the entire team for the outstanding care!!

The doctors are top notch as has been my experience with the techs as well. However my last two experience with the front desk staff Tianna have been horrible to say the least. She is rude disrespectful incompetent and very knowledgeable. She is enough to turn you away from the entire first level office entirely.. apparently she's a problem yet they keep her. She should be in the back with zero patient interaction. Avoid her at all cost. It's sad because the practice overall is a great experience. Tianna is the very rotten apple that spoils the whole experience. Both times I was so angry it took me awhile to calm down. I still would recommend highly the medial staff and docs excellent.

The Orthoptist Jesse was really excellent. I was feeling very overwhelmed and in the dark about what is going on with my eye care and a new glasses Rx from the eye specialist. He took a lot of time with me, pulled out a giant eye diagram and a white board, and explained what he thinks is going on with my eyes and how/why the new glasses Rx should help. He was very patient with me, answered all my questions, and let me take notes. We made an action plan and made sure I understood all the next steps. I am very appreciative and am glad I am working with him on this. Front staff and scheduling also seem very good :)

Great experience. Very organized system of registering and helping people with well qualified and capable staff to meet the customers needs. Very professional staff .I was very confident in their though assessment of my condition. It was not a good outcome but I felt the doctor plus her assistant were accurate in their evaluation.They were also very caring and supportive through my entire exam. I would recommend the eye care group for everyone's ' eye care needs. I also had cataract surgery there and was very impressed with that experience also.

All the techs who did the beginning testing were thoroughly professional and polite. Dr. Andrew's was attentive and paid close attention to my concerns. I did not feel rushed or patronized in the least, and I felt she was really "on top of her game" professionally speaking. I was very pleased with everyone I interacted with including the people at the front desk. P.S. And my appointment began within 5 minutes of my scheduled time, and we all know that that's a rarity in today's rushed world. I would recommend this practice to others without reservation.

Great first time office visit. Everyone very pleasant. Little to no wait. Gabriella was OUTSTANDING! Very thorough and fast. Doc was great at explaining what was wrong and how to resolve. Now I wait 6 weeks to see glaucoma specialist. Not pleased about this ... would like to get problem fixed ASAP.

I went in for a follow up to recent eye surgery and to complete the annual check-up. I found the visit to be one of the most thorough I've experienced. The staff took the time to listen patiently to my questions, and Dr. Andrews explained the results of each of the tests in detail. When some anomalies showed up in the results, she reviewed my patient history to arrive at the next steps for us to take. I am most impressed with the care and concern I was shown by Dr. Andrews and the staff of The Eye Care Group.

The staff are friendly, efficient and professional. The doctor I saw, Alexander T. Nguyen, MD, was wonderful. He was efficient and thorough. He was able to tell me that a doctor at a different practice, Refocus, had misdiagnosed me as having cataracts. I just need new glasses. That has saved me a lot of money!! The optical shop people are very helpful too! I am very happy to have found a new & reliable doctor. And I will definitely be going to buy my glasses there.
