She might be a great Dr but her disregard for her patients time is outrageous. I have waited 3 hours in the waiting room. I think what happens they book at least 10 patients for the Dr to see in one hour. I've been in the waiting room waiting and there has been at least 6 patients booked for the exact time. The Dr needs to work on her schedule because everyone's time is imoortant specially when you have others bring you to the appointment. Donuts not only my time that is wasted is also my companions that brought me to the appointment.
If I could give Dr. Dua zero stars, I would. She performed surgery on my mother's eyes--one went fine, but she admitted to making a surgical error on the second. Three months later, my mother is still in pain. What should have been routine has left her in constant discomfort, now requiring repeated visits to her regular ophthalmologist. Dr. Dua also charged extra for an "updated and most beneficial" technique that ultimately caused harm. Do not trust this surgeon if you value your vision and eye health. Shame on you, Dr. Dua.
To whomsoever it may concern:
Dr. Neeru Dua is a highly accomplished and competent Opthalmalogist.
She operated on both my eyes for cataract removal using multifocal IOLs using the laser lensX methodology. She also operated my wife Rekha's both the eyes for the same problem about two years ago. Both these surgeries have were highly successful.
I will highly recommend Dr. Due to anyone seeking such a surgery or any other help with your eyesight.
Good luck!

Dr Dua gets 1 star only because she actually is a good surgeon. Also her staff of ladies are always wonderful. How ever, her respect for other people's time and her bedside manner is HORRIBLE! There's ALWAYS a wait time for more than 1 hour for EVERY appointment. When she does finally make it in to see you, she's only in the room for 10 to 15 minutes. So I'm not sure why the wait time is horrendous. She's not caring or welcoming in my opinion. My first visit I mentioned to her after waiting 3 hours that I had another very important appointment to get my mother to (because who knew we would be there that long that 1st appointment) her response (with an arrogant tone) was that next time I should mention to her staff that I'm on a time crunch and she'll be quick. I could go on about her rudeness but I'm sure you all get the point. I'm greatful my moms procedure is done and she did a good job at that but I Would NEVER return and also would NEVER recommend to anyone else.
My husband and I had our first visits with Dr Dua yesterday. We were both very impressed with the quality of our exams and the time that she spent explaining our issues. Yes, previous reviews complained about the long waiting times but when you are the recipient of the unrushed visit you appreciate the thoroughness. Old school doctoring, actually spending time talking to the patient instead of the computer. Our next visit is in 2 weeks and we will be prepared to wait if needed.
This is how I understand the bad reviews here: women of color are always expected to behave a certain way and are criticized far more easily for everything.
Dr. Dua was professional, knowledgeable, detail-oriented, thorough, and straight to the point. She took the time to explain things to me and was honest. I definitely recommend her.
Thank You, thank you, thank you.
A highly qualified professional, with commitment and dedication toward her patients. Accompanied by a team of supportive professionals, it creates the signature of a welcoming environment.
The surgical process expectations were well explained and easy to embrace without fear. The "magical" recuperation, invited me to have a second procedure (other eye) the following week. With great success, in my visual capacity, I commend Dr. Dua's work!
Blessed hands, on Earth!
Gracias, gracias, gracias.
Dr.Dua is not personable. Took elderly mother. The wait was 2 1/2 hours. Front desk staff very personable. Will never go back!!
