I've been going to this location for several years now for my regular eye exams and glasses, and more recently for treatment related to eye inflammation from an autoimmune condition.
The staff, technicians, and doctors are consistently kind, empathetic, and helpful. I truly appreciate how willing everyone is to take the time to answer all of my questions, as well as the level of care and attention I receive when shopping for new glasses.
My most recent visit highlighted this especially well. My appointment was scheduled toward the end of the day, and I didn't realize they were closing soon. Even so, not a single staff member made me feel rushed or unwelcome, they encouraged me to take my time and made the experience feel completely stress-free. I'll be back another day to finish choosing glasses, but I wanted to sincerely thank everyone.
I'd also like to specifically acknowledge Peggy, Allie(sp?), Amber, and Megan, who were all incredibly helpful during my last visit.

Because my insurance had changed, I had to temporarily leave Simon Eye. The care and demeanors I encountered elsewhere were very lacking in comparison. Consequently, now that my insurance has changed again, I am so glad to be back!
Dr Hohmann is very professional, thorough, and conducts herself with a sunny disposition. The staff , from the front desk to the help selecting glasses are pleasant and very helpful. I usually don't leave reviews, but Dover Simon Eye staff deserve a pat on the back.

This was not about a refund, this was about customer service. I knew I would get my refund back. This is about the poor service by Tina and almost 3 months of waiting for the order to be delivered. No customer should wait 3 months for an order to be delivered.
This was my first and thankfully last experience doing business with Simon Eye, specifically the Dover location.
My order for two pairs of glasses was placed on November 3, 2025. Due to a lack of attention to detail by Tina, it took nearly 3 months to get this order partially completed . My order was incorrect four times, with each delay extending the process by two weeks. I was ultimately forced to cancel the order because it was scheduled to be delayed for a fifth time.
This office failed to hold Tina accountable for this situation, representing poor customer service and causing three months of wasted time and inconvenience. No customer should have to wait three months for a prescription sunglasses order. Simon Eye failed to deliver as promised, and Tina's actions constituted a breach of contract.

Be aware that this is a chain and they will constantly try to get you to buy services or tests that are not covered by your insurance. If you tell them you don't want the tests you get a disapproving look along with "We cannot give you a complete picture of your eye health without this test." The eye doctors themselves are fine but I hate the constant pushing of tests and services no other eye doctors have demanded.

I love Simon Eye! Plenty of parking, all areas are well lit and easily accessible, very clean and the staff are very friendly. I was greeted immediately. Excellent staff onsite, I get all my eye exams here. I trust my doctor, we have a good relationship, that's important. They have a large selection of new inventory to choose from. My new glasses look incredible, I had a very specific look in mind and Simon Eye helped me create it.
