Village Optical - Dover

My optometrist recommended progressives, but my intention when I went to Village Optical was to get single vision because I was skeptical of progressives (and a little vain). Lorraine was the optician who helped me, I found her to be highly professional and competent, patiently answering my many questions and she spent the time to assess my lifestyle, individual vision needs, and my budget. Lorraine also explained the benefits of going into progressives sooner rather than later and reassured me that there is no difference in appearance. Lorraine's recommendations for additional features all made sense. I resist trends and I tend to be more conservative, but I found some trendier frames I really liked; her fashion input and knowledge of the quality differences of the frames I was considering gave me the confidence I needed to make decisions I felt good about. I am so grateful for her, because I LOVE my progressives AND my sassy new frames! I have quickly adjusted to the progressives and I love the added convenience of having my reading glasses built in: No more squinting or switching glasses necessary! And I love my new look! Good customer service seems to be a rarity these days, having a pleasant customer service experience really meant a lot to me. I intend on being a return customer for all my vision needs, and I have recommended her to my husband as well as other family members :)

Dee was 1000000/10 helpful today. I fell and broke my glasses the night before and had to call around a million different places. Nobody could help. But then the superhero of the weekend answered the phone and saved everything. Whatever she makes now it needs to be doubled asap. Thankyou Dee!

Always very polite and helpful ( Dee ) takes her job very serious. They have beautiful frames also I must say. CHECK THEM OUT..you will be glad you did. Prices are without the best I have found!!!

I am so glad I discovered this place! The staff are extremely pleasant and helpful, service is excellent, and the prices are great! I love that they take the sting out of buying eyewear, allowing us to purchase functional and trendy eyewear on a tight budget.

Stopped in to ask a question and in 15 minutes ordered my safety glasses at a savings of $80 compared to another vendor. Glasses also arrived within a week as opposed to 4 weeks at the other place.

Outstanding service: good prices, nice people, fast service. The glasses were ready fast and just perfect!
