Dr. Phyllis E. Chambers

Doctor was nice and understanding. Didn't like the fact the billing lady was very passive aggressive regarding insurance coverage. I was told after my appointment that they wouldn't cover my contact lenses that have always been covered. My insurance confirmed that the billing from this office didn't even put in correct codes and I know because when I called my insurance they said it should be fully covered and when I read back the codes chambers billing rep gave me that were marked those aren't even codes at all that show up in their system at all. Which made sense because, when I then informed Chambers billing representative, I was told when she put in the codes to authorize my exam put down by the Chambers it wouldn't allow her to put it in the system. Meaning billing rep didn't know what she was doing. Unless doctor isn't being honest about why they determined whether it's medically necessary or not. How is me seeing not considered medically necessary? I have horrible vison and glasses dont work as well especially at night when lights come on it's blinding and I can't see . Now with winter coming and night time coming earlier I will struggle to see because glasses do not help. I can't put sun glasses on. My insurance doesn't cover transitional lenses. Just very disappointed and dissatisfied with how this was handled. I will not be returning ever again. Beware.

Today was my first visit. The staff is AWESOME!!! They are very nice and explain everything. Dr. Chambers is AWESOME!!! She's very nice and caring. She explains everything she's doing and if you have something wrong she explains it to you. She answered all my questions. I have never been to an office where the staff and doctor were so caring and Awesome. I would definitely recommend her.

I'll be 25 this year. My mom & I have been visiting Dr. Chambers since I was in elementary school! I believe I got my first pair of glasses at 9. I am very pleased with my latest pair! I'm also happy with Dr. Chamber's new location. It's closer to my house and very convenient to get to. I would recommend this office for young kids and grown adults! It's really quiet, clean and the staff is friendly. You'll get in and out!

The ladies at the front are so welcoming, Dr Chambers is such Amazing doctor. Thank you so much for everything. The perfect script and a very nice selection to choose from. I recommend this place for vision care.

I had taken my 10 year old daughter to have her eyes checked because she was having some difficulties reading. Dr Chambers was very good at making her feel comfortable and explained step by step each thing she was going to do so she wouldn't be scared. Staff was very nice as well. My daughter said she liked the doctor which was huge for me!. My daughter needs glasses and they were great at helping her choose a pair she liked. I ended up making an appointment for myself !

Dr. Chambers and her staff are wonder. My children and I went in for examinations and contact lenses. Dr. Chamber is great! So nice. And very professional. They were so patient with teaching the kids how to wear the lenses! Great experience!

Should have read the reviews before coming here. First time ever being here and I leave and my vision was worse. I had to fight an argue with them to check it out and even threaten to call BBB just so I could get the service I requested. I've been hung up on pushed to voicemail and even threatened that way hey would call the cops on me because after four weeks I still haven't received my glasses. This is bad and idk what the deal is with this office but Dr Chambers needs to get her stuff together. Her staff are rude and liars there is no communication with the customer/patients this place is so unprofessional. I've been wearing glasses since third grade and never have I ever had an experience like I did here. Never will I ever go back. Just give me my glasses that I paid for and allow me to go on. But instead they robbed me and provided the worse service in optometrist history smh

I have been seeing Dr. Chambers since I was a child and she is such a great doctor. I took a break from going to get eye appointments for probably 6-8 years while I was in my 20s and as soon as I went back to see her she remembered me and asked how my sisters were. She is very friendly and I would recommend to everyone.
