Specs for Less

About three weeks ago, I picked up my new glasses at the Kirkwood Hwy. store. I knew by the end of the day that they did not fit me correctly and that the frame was too wide for my head. I returned the next day during regular store hours and the door was locked with the lights off. Over the next few days, I stopped by two other times with the same result. Phone calls were not being taken at the number posted on the store's website. A call to the corporate office seemed to produce a promising response - a phone call from the district manager. However, despite this manager's expressed interest in helping me to resolve my issue, they never followed through and my multiple attempts to reach them were met with no response. So, the store seems to be closed and the company's management is ignoring me. I only want to return the glasses and receive my refund. I've tried to be patient, but this organization is neglecting its corporate duty. ***** Resolution: within a few days of posting this review, I was contacted by the district manager, was able to return glasses, and received a full refund. I am grateful for this.

i've never written a poor review. I've never written any reviews. But I felt compelled to write this one because I don't want anybody else to experience what I did. I went to specs for less at 4:10pm in the November 12. As I opened the door, the woman inside standing up behind the desk, said "Yes?". An odd greeting I thought, but said I'm just wanting to get a pair of glasses. She said she was getting ready to leave. She had a class or something to go to and it was far away and traffic was gonna be bad. I said oh I'm sorry, but I'd like to look at some glasses. I rushed myself through the process trying to accommodate her and I put my order in and paid. I was told it would be four weeks. I said what four weeks? She said I know they tell us to say that, but I'm sure it won't take that long. Well, it's been four weeks and they've given me no good reason why my glasses aren't ready. I was in desperate need of new glasses so I went next-door to LensCrafters and ordered a second pair of glasses. That was two days ago on a Monday. Today, Wednesday December 10, LensCrafters texted me and said my glasses were ready. Couldn't believe it! I called specs. They are open till five but got no answer. I called five times. I called their Wilmington store and got a nice gentleman who told me that things were not the same since new management and four weeks really meant 4 to 6 weeks. Specs is going through problems. It happens, but if you want glasses in a reasonable amount of time, don't go there.

I ordered glasses and was told that they would take 10 days to get. That was 7 weeks ago. I had not heard anything after 4 weeks so I called and was told that the lab could not find one of the two pairs I ordered and that the other pair had to be remade because the lens did not fit the frame. I have called every week since then and being told the same thing. Finally, I just asked for a refund and was told that I had to come in person for them to refund my credit card. I would think that after the convenience of losing my glasses and having to remake them that I would not have to be further inconvenienced by having to go back in person for a refund. . I would NOT recommend this store. I have been getting glasses from there for years but it has gone down in the past 2 years. I had the same issue last year. They never called me to tell me my glasses were ready.

Took a lot longer than they told me and then said my glasses were being made for 2 weeks and then told me to come in and pick them up then was told the store is closed for the next two weeks . Wouldn't recommend

The ladies that work at this location are the most kind and professional people I've worked with in my journey to find the right sunglasses. I highly recommend this store if you need honest feedback and great customer service.

Great place for eye wear. I got three pairs and love them all. Lots to choose from Thank you to all the wonderful employees at Specs for Less!!

I bought a pair of lenses from this company 2 years ago. The company has changed owners They no longer service what they sell. How will you feel when they do it to you. Their management is disingenuous, at best. The bitterness of poor quality and service remains long after the sweetness of low price has been forgotten. BTW, Lenscrafters was able to take care of the small adjustment issue. Don't buy from people who won't service what they sell.

Called in to speak to the manager, was super nice and calm. The person stated she was the manager and refused to give me her name. She said "Well you asked me the same question 3 times." But I did not, I ask "Hey is there a manager I can speak with, then hey can I get the store managers information, the can I have the store managers name." She avoid the question and when I said, "Hey I'm not being rude, and been calm" then she still didn't give me her name.
