I like the doctor and staff very much. Professional yet friendly. I've been got to Dr. Patel for 5+ years. Yesterday another doctor was covering for Dr. Patel. He was thorough and friendly. I felt confident with him as I do with Dr. Patel.

I had bleeding in my right eye and my own retinal doctor wouldn't see me because "she had to prepare for the hurricane" last Wed, 9/25/24, so I went to NCH Emergency to get a doctor there to check my eye. They referred me to Dr Saurabh Patel who saw me first thing the next morning. His office did not accept my insurance but he did all the testing anyway & did not charge me for anything. He texted my retinal doctor & told her to see me the next day. I decided to go to another doctor and Dr Patel's staff quickly sent a summary letter & referral for me to the new doctor. I really appreciate Dr Patel for his compassion in treating me regardless of insurance. He was also very knowledgeable on what medical course to take with my eye situation. If he was "in network" with my insurance I would definitely choose him for my Retinal Specialist.

Dr. Patel saw me on a Saturday for an emergency torn retina. He could not operate until Monday but did a preventive laser treatment immediately to prevent more damage to the retina. He was knowledgeable, explained all that would happen before, during and after the surgery. The surgery went smoothly and my three follow- up meetings with Dr. Patel only confirmed what a fine, knowledgeable, professional, and caring doctor he is. I highly recommend him.

I give all the credit to Dr Patel for my near perfect vision after repairing the hole in my macula. His unhurried, caring manner, and communication skills made for a less stressful time. Great staff as well!
