I had a great experience at Brandon Eye Associates. For such a large office handling numerous eye exams, medical procedures, and even offering their own on-site optical area for convenience, the wait time was very reasonable. The staff was welcoming, professional, and happy to answer any questions I had along the way. Dr. Van Zandt truly stood out. He took his time, had excellent bedside manners, and clearly explained what needed to be corrected along with the plan moving forward. I never felt rushed and left feeling informed and confident in my care. Highly recommend Brandon Eye Associates for thorough, attentive eye care.

I highly recommend Brandon Eye Associates and Dr. Haroon Ilyas. I alway feel well taken care of and know they are providing a quality of care. Dr. Ilyas is great! He is very knowledgeable, easy to talk to and always takes time to explain everything and answer my questions. The staff is very pleasant and courteous. The facility is clean and comfortable. I especially appreciate their efficiency in that my appointments are usually taken on time and done within about an hour.

I'm very impressed with Brandon Eye Associates. I appreciate all the wonderful hard working people who work there. My ophthalmologist Dr. Haroon Ilyas MD did the cataract surgery on both my eyes recently and I can't say enough good things about the outstanding results I have. My new eyes see everything now and I couldn't be any happier. Dr. Ilyas is extremely nice, provided me with helpful information, and patiently answered all my questions. He helped me to pick out the right lens that would be best for my eyes which ended up being a toric lens using the laser assisted surgery. I feel very fortunate to have had Dr. Ilyas for a surgeon and highly recommend him to anyone who's considering getting cataract surgery or any other type of eye surgery.

I had made an appointment (for well in the future because they didn't have any options). I then called another place and got in within a day so I no longer need this appointment. They texted me that I still had my appointment on the books and that they would charge me if I didn't cancel within 24 hours. The text had an option to press 1 to confirm but NO option to cancel. I followed the link to their portal, which again shows me my appointment and has a button to confirm but NO option to cancel. So, I try calling. They don't have ANY option to leave a voicemail when they don't answer. Instead, it goes to an answering service who this business (you guessed it) did NOT give any option for the answering service to send a cancellation message. So, they want to charge people if they don't cancel but then refuse to allow ANY option to cancel the appointment!?! Definitely seems like the actions of a shady business!

Dr. Ilyas is an Outstanding Eye Surgeon - Extremely Competent - Considerate - Reassuring - Compassionate. I was scared to have cataract surgery. Dr. Ilyas so caring, felt at ease with him and medical staff. No pain. Went very well. Also, I see Dr. Honickman (Excellent Opthamologist) every 6 mos for thorough exams. Staff always friendly, available (phone or in office).

My orientation at Brandon Eye Associates was first for an eyelid lift and this year for cataract surgery. Great results for both and I was ready to waltz out the door. Your ophthalmologist follows through with all the diagnostic studies, and you are held captive. No dancing. There is carrot juice from Sam's Club and broccoli in the fridge. The practice is strict about following your prescriptions and checking your blood sugar. The learning curve is being stretched. A great present for Christmas and the New Year 2026! The doctors and staff are all nice; however, the wait times are absolutely ridiculous. Plan for a two hour (minimum) time, even for a basic eye exam. You'll be sitting and waiting in the main lobby for at least 30 minutes after your appointment time, then they hand you off to multiple "techs" to do the testing, with waiting times between each test, then they finally put you in the room to see the doctor and you'll wait even more. Too many patients, overbooked schedules (I guess) and the end result is their patients suffer. Good luck if you're still working or have a schedule to keep. I also note that ALL of the review responses are "canned" to contact the office, like that's going to resolve anything. If they're bothering to read the reviews at all, they wouldn't have so many similar negative comments.
