Staff & doctor were ALL awesome! They were all kind, helpful & knowledgeable. Everyone took their time to get to know me & what I needed help with. They were all very willing to help me right away to get scheduled for my exam & any follow up needed. Would highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a very comprehensive eye exam & new lenses.

Came in with my Dad from California that had some new glasses that the lenses kept popping out. The manager was so helpful calling the California store and getting everything all worked out for him. I really appreciated that she went above and beyond to take care of his vision needs.

Terrible customer service! I showed up at my appointment and was told they hadn't verified my coverage even though I made the appointment 2 weeks before and they had a full 10 days to do so. They left a message on Friday at 3pm (my appt was saturday) and the insurance closed at 5pm. I didn't get the message until after the insurance closed and then it was too late. So, they blamed me because they left me a message and a full 2 hrs before insurance closed when they had 10 days to verify. They have no clue how to deal with customers nor how to take responsibility for their incompetence. The more they blamed me, the more upset and determined not to go back. Don't know if doctor is good or not since I didn't get a chance to see her. But it's certain she hasn't trained her staff on customer service.
So, I'll just go somewhere else. They lost 3 new patients today, not that they care.

The doctor is very thorough, informative and behind schedule as you would expect for a thorough doctor.. There is a saying: "If the doctor is on schedule, question the doctor"
The staff was very helpful, pleasant and eager to assist. I did not experience any rudeness that was expressed in previous reviews.
As for Walmart, that store is showing signs of neglect and the front bathroom are 50% out of order and yuck!

Wasted my yearly exam, still cannot see. Smh my vision started getting pretty blurred and distorted. I went in for my yearly exam, the doctor up sold me to contacts. Fine. Except that when I tired to tell her my history with other doctors and contacts she downplayed that and assured me she taught the subject and would be better. Ugh wrong, I'm so annoyed. The left contact popped out of my eye before I even made it home and I could not find it. Exactly what I told her would happen. Not sure if she makes money off of follows ups but that's what was pushed hard. Weirdest part of this ordeal. After paying for the exam and upsell, I asked the person checking me out for my prescription. He told me that I had to wait a week until after the follow up contact visit to get my glasses prescription even though I just paid for both?!?!?!? I've never experienced this! I'm skeptical of this place now and I'm so dreading going back for that follow up! Trust gone!

I went into the Walmart vision center to make an appointment, I stood there at least 15 minutes, then I had to speak, 15 minutes in a place when there is only one customer besides myself and she couldn't even Acknowledge that I was there. I finally ask if there was another person working and snapped back and said "she's on break". The place was dead, and from the reviews, I understand why. They better change personnel before the ones they have now get it closed down,

I had an extremely positive experience today at the Valrico Walmart Vision Center. The staff were ALL exceptionally friendly and professional. The exam was very thorough, and the price was right for my budget. They could have a larger selection of frames, but I still was able to find one I liked very much. And it ended up being a $9 pair!!!! The doctor was extraordinarily kind and thorough. (Optometrists are not Walmart employees.) Walmart's optician and technicians were great too. I was not sure what to expect, and this Vision Center exceeded my wildest dreams!!
