Behler Eye And Laser Center

Dr Behler did a lense replacement on my left eye over 10 years ago. Fantastic Doctor. I'll also add he's a good man.

I went in this morning for a biopsy, and I'll tell you right now that anything to do with my eyes is my biggest and greatest fear. But hey, I survived to tell the tale! I am so grateful to have had the pleasure of being a patient here, and the staff and Dr. were wonderful to me. They were confident, kind, and empathetic - even though I certainly squeezed the life out of the assistance hand (which I don't even remember how I managed to grab). Being scared is human, but it's always nice to be reminded that there are good people in this world who can help you get through tough times. I got home with a smile on my face, feeling settled and relieved. This experience gave me more confidence to face this issue head on (even if it takes some more tears along the way). Thanks again to the doctor & staff for providing me with the support and care I needed, and I would recommend this office to everyone (:

Thank you Dr. Behler for my new lenses. A top-notch Dr. and his staff were very friendly and professional. From Jayne (Dr Behler's assistant) to Kelli and Jess (in the office). You couldn't have asked for nicer people. Every part of the procedure went so smooth. I had both lenses done over two weeks and very pleased with the results. No more glasses and 20-20 vision. As of today (09/03/2025), Costco has not received the Fax updated contact lenses Rx for my contacts prescribed on 07/31/2025. I was NOT given a written Rx & Fax was never received even after leaving several messages & Costco Fax #

Dr. Behler is really great and his staff is really nice as well. He was able to perform a difficult cataract surgery on me and was able to get my vision back in my eye. Which, at the time I wasn't guaranteed I would get vision back. I highly recommend Dr. Behler if you need cataract surgery.

Dr. Behler left my vision cloudy and spotty, wasted my time, my money, and went back on his word about his guarantee. After my husband had successful Lasik surgery at another center in Tampa, I decided to have it done also. I went with Dr. Behler because he had gained my trust earlier by telling me I should wait a few years before I got my surgery. Dr. Behler's standard guarantee included only one redo in case the surgery didn't come out right the first time, and when I mentioned that the other center offered a lifetime guarantee, he said he would match their offer. When signing the consent form, I wrote at the bottom "I understand this surgery has a lifetime guarantee," signed it, and the doctor's assistant witnessed my signature. Too bad I didn't understand contract law well enough at the time, I should have had the doctor also initial and sign that item, because Dr. Behler went back on his word. When the surgery did not give me the results I expected, I went back several times to try to get it corrected. He tried several stop-gaps like liquid tears and plugs, but dry eye was not the problem. He said he would redo the surgery after I tried out contacts, and I went back 3 times, each time he would give me contacts and tell me to come back for "measurements," but whenever I went back in he just kept giving me more contacts. It as like a revolving door of contact trials. On one occasion he kept me waiting over 2 hours, and when it was finally my turn and he again just gave me contacts, I complained and said that I was there to get measurements for the surgery. Dr. Behler told me he had somewhere else to be and didn't have time to do my measurements that day. At that point my life got complicated with a separation and a move, and I couldn't make the time to schedule a new appointment, especially since they had wasted so much of my time on so many occasions. But my vision was still not right. Eventually I attempted to get through to Dr. Behler's assistant, Jane, hoping that she could schedule the right kind of appointment for me so I could finally get the measurements and get my surgery done. She avoided my calls for months. I was told on dozens of occasions that she was out or busy, that she would call me back, but she never would. I asked my assistant at work to keep calling every day until she got through. Finally we got through to Jane, but she said that my guarantee had expired, and it didn't matter what Dr. Behler had promised or what I had written on the consent form, they refused to do another surgery on me for free. After having spent $4000 on this procedure (almost $1000 more than my husband spent on his surgery at the Tampa center with the lifetime guarantee) I felt cheated, and that's why I feel the need to share my story.

Several years ago I did research on Lasik Surgery for myself. Considering that we only get one pair of eyes, I wanted to make sure that I found the BEST doctor for the job. Dr. Behler is definitely that doctor. He is an excellent Ophthalmologist. In doing my research for Lasik, I also realized that the Laser equipment that Dr, Behler uses is the most innovative, even over many other leading doctors. I am so pleased to have 20/20 vision, and I will never take it for granted, He has a friendly and courteous staff that I look forward to seeing annually now. I have already, and will continue to recommend Dr. Behler.

I had cataract surgery with vision improvement lenses by Dr. Behler. He took the time to make all the measurements necessary. The lenses were replaced at 2 separate appointments. after some minor adjustments everything turned out wonderful. I didn't realize how bad I was until I had the surgery done. Great Job.
