Eyeglass World

I strongly recommend avoiding Eyeglass World in Palm Harbor unless you enjoy terrible customer service and rigid policies that completely ignore patient needs. My wife and I were both customers here, but after this experience we will never step foot in this location again. My wife received contact lenses from this office that were extremely uncomfortable to the point she couldn't wear them. Instead of helping her resolve the issue like any competent eye care provider should, the staff created unnecessary roadblocks and refused to provide even basic customer support. When she called to schedule a follow-up appointment to try a different contact lens brand or type, she asked if she could see a different doctor because she was not comfortable with the one she originally saw. That should have been a simple and reasonable request. Instead, the staff repeatedly told her that she was NOT allowed to see a different doctor and was forced to see the same doctor again, despite the fact that she did not like that provider in the first place. It gets even worse. That doctor is only in the office on Thursdays, which does not work with our work schedules. When my wife explained this, the response was essentially "too bad." Multiple times on the phone she was told there was nothing they could do and they would not help her. Let that sink in. A patient calls because the contacts they were given are uncomfortable, asks to try a different option, and the response from the office is basically "we won't help you." That is completely unacceptable for any business, let alone one that deals with people's vision and eye health. So we made the obvious decision and took our business elsewhere. Here's the most ridiculous part: Only after we had already decided to go somewhere else did they suddenly call back and offer a different option. So apparently the solution existed the entire time -- the staff just chose not to help until they realized they were losing customers. That is not customer service. That is damage control. Between the unhelpful staff, the inflexible policies, and the complete lack of concern for a patient experiencing discomfort from the product they prescribed, this location has made it clear they care far more about their internal rules than they do about the people walking through their doors. There are plenty of places in the Tampa Bay area to get glasses and contacts that actually value their customers. Eyeglass World in Palm Harbor clearly isn't one of them.

Eyeglass World really came through in a pinch! I called them up about repairing my glasses, and they immediately said, "No worries, bring them in." They fixed them right away, adjusted the fit, and even cleaned them up for me. Fast, friendly, and professional service--I couldn't ask for more!

Outstanding service. They repaired my glasses for free in minutes. Very kind, professional, and trustworthy. I'll definitely come back and recommend this place.

Absolutely terrible, they upsell everything to the point that I receive bills months later because they do not do a good job of verifying insurance, when I call to discuss bill it was changed a couple of times on why I am receiving bills months later but basically they do not confirm what insurance will cover and charge you anyways. Wound up paying more from eyeglass world than I would have at an independent. I would not recommend them to anyone. I will never be back

First, the Dr is 10 out of 10. Eyeglass world rude , especially the dark haired young lady up front. Made an appointment a d was told the doc took my insurance but eyeglass world doesn't, no worries there are lots of other places to get glasses. Show up and Doc does not take our insurance, no worries, not the end of the world. Leaving waiting for my wife and the dark haired lady asks if she can help and I say no, I made an appointment and was told doc takes insurance but up front.doesnt and this lady says no you didn't. Uh, yes I did and she says nope they all know and I said not the guy I talked to and she again says they didn't tell me that. My response? OK your right I made it up, I'm lying. This lady is terrible, what a thing to call a 10 year customer a liar. Trash.

The best, most efficient, and informative experience I've had at an eyeglass establishment. My Optometrist was Dr. Mark Fisler and he was excellent. After educating me about my exam results and care for future, he then came out to help with choosing new frames. Julia was very friendly and helpful from the minute I walked in!

Dr. G is the first doctor who was able to get me to 20/20 vision with reading glasses!!! Wow she is beyond amazing! Olivia was also extremely helpful and very knowledgeable about her job. She made both my son and myself feel very happy and confident with the glasses we selected.

The lens of my glasses popped out one Saturday afternoon. I called my optometrist's office but they were closed. Luckily I was able to get into Eye Glass World before they closed. I was greeted when I walked in the door and the person who came to my aid was kind and professional and repaired it easily and quickly. I was not charged for this service which I so appreciated. Now I know where to go when I need help with my glasses. I am one happy customer!
