I'm glad that I was told to come see this doctor after the one I had moved. Dr. Powers is absolutely wonderful. He cares about his staff and patients and it shows. I drive from Lakeland to the office in Clearwater and don't mind the waiting because Dr. Explain exactly what he see and what changes if any he recommends and make sure you understand the game plan to keep your eyes healthy as possible. Just one suggestion don't think you will be in and out in 15 minutes it's not likely to happen especially if you have questions. But you WON'T be disappointed.

I initially came to Healthy Vision because my previous doctor no longer accepted my insurance ... and what a lucky break that turned out to be!
The entire staff is warm and welcoming, professional, and always seem to be willing to learn and become better at their positions or to go beyond.
While I agree the wait does seem long, it does take time for the drops to work and to get results from some of the necessary preliminary tests and observations.
Overall, I have been very happy with my visits and the care I have received. I've been going to and recommending Dr Powers for years now. I plan on recommending him for many more,

Incredible care provided here! Dr Powers and his team have worked with me on appointment times that fit my schedule, are happy to answer all of my questions, help me work through insurance challenges and greet me by name each time I walk in. They are serious and knowledgeable about what they do, yet very kind in the process. Dr Powers is an impressive and attentive professional with a comforting demeanor. You are not just another patient in his care. You are a human being with a problem or concern he is determined to help you overcome. Good doctors are hard to come by. Don't wast your time going elsewhere - get on his schedule.

Dr. Powers is a very nice doctor and my Mother is happy with him. However the appointments take 2-3 hours. Today I brought my Mom to her appointment. Ran an errand and came back an hour later. She still was in the waiting room. The nurses didn't even take her back for the eye test. Also when there we're about 25+ people in the waiting room and no where to sit. Seems like they schedule way to many appointments for the doctor handle. This is not convenient for most people. Please reconsider how many people you are scheduling at once. Message to new patients. Keep in mind how long of wait you will have if you are planning to be a patient at this practice.

Dr. Powers' bedside manner is very professional and friendly; new staff members, for the most part, seems to be friendly and professional as well; but when it comes to billing, the Dr.'s office and the billing dept. doesn't seem to be on the same page. I checked in at the desk, at which time, the receptionist informed me that I had a balance to pay, at which time I informed her that I had mailed that payment in to billing. My question is why did she not see that in my file? Because I mailed that payment about 3 or 4 weeks before this scheduled appointment on 1/3/18; other than issues with billing, Dr. Powers is a great doctor!

Dr Powers and his team do a great job I've been a patient for about 10 years and very satisfied. Seems like you spend more time waiting than being serviced but the eye drops take a little time to work and it does burn some for a minute or so the thing I don't like is the bright light focused directly into your eyes but how else can he see inside your eyeball.

There are truly no words that can describe the Healthy Vision Institute, Dr Powers and his staff. I've been a patient now for almost 10 years and have never had a negative experience. Recently I had a bit of an emergency and was immediately put on the schedule to see Dr Powers. Dr Powers took great care of my problem and I couldn't be more pleased. Every time I attend an appointment in treated by staff with respect, professionalism and like one of the "Healthy Vision Family". I highly recommend Dr Powers and the Healthy Vision Institute if your looking for a Doctor in this field. I wouldn't see anyone else and would be comfortable with everyone in my family going to the Healthy Vision Institute.
