I had a terrible experience at this organization.
I first attended a Telehealth appointment where I made it known I had not been seen before and wanted to get contacts. I was then told after the appointment I would need a second appointment with a doctor in person because they needed to dilate my eyes.
I then attended a second appointment with a doctor in person who then changed my prescription from the one just given. I also made it known to this doctor that I wanted contacts because of my job.
When I got home, I realized the paperwork they gave me was from the first appointment, and only included glasses. So I had the incorrect prescription to order contact lenses. Over the next few days and into the beginning of the next week I continued logging into the online portal which was linked to my account. My prescription was never entered online and so I could not see it or order contacts on the website.
I was the told I have to come in person to get the updated prescription. I then went in person and had to explain what had occurred. No one could tell me why it wasn't uploaded and they essentially said the doctor had not entered the information. I then got a copy of my prescription. I then asked where the contact prescription was as it only showed the glasses. They then told me I hadn't made anyone aware (which I did).
They then allegedly contacted the doctor I had seen to see what was going on. I was told I'd get a call back with information, I did not. I had to call in the next day and speak to someone who said they didn't see any notes on my account.
It should also be noted my insurance covered the first visit only, and my medical insurance was used for the second. They then told me I needed a third appointment now to get fitted for contacts as they had not done so the first two times. They told me it would not be covered by insurance and their closest appointment was 3 weeks out. I then agreed to the third appointment, and was told I would also have to attend another class after that before I could get contacts.
Tonight (2/26) they called me at 6:14pm to let me know they hadn't properly scheduled my appointment for the next day at 12:50pm. This was an appointment I already had to wait 3 weeks for. They then told me they needed to reschedule to March 25th.... A full month later. They said they would try and call me the day of the appointment to see if anything changes. At this point I'm 2 appointments into 4 (or more) and now the appointment is being delayed another month, when who knows if it's booked properly and will be cancelled again. I am now multiple appointments and visits into trying to get contact lenses (a very simple thing) with no end in sight, and I've already used up my insurance paid visits at the organization which has provided me with nothing.
I now have to find a competent doctor's office to start this process from the beginning and maybe actually get some contacts in the foreseeable future.
0/10 and would not recommend. The Telehealth appointment provided an inaccurate prescription, I was not listened to, and nothing was done to stop the process from continuously rolling downhill. They were given multiple opportunities to reconcile the issues and they only continued.

I had an extremely frustrating experience at this MyEyeDr location that dragged on for almost three months and showed a complete lack of professionalism and customer service.
I went in on December 13 for an eye exam and checkup. During that visit, my eye pressure was high, and my eyes were dilated. I was given trial contact lenses to use until my prescribed order arrived. Because my eyes were still dilated and aching from the drops, I didn't try the trials until the following day, when I realized the prescription felt off.
I returned on Monday, December 15, and Dr. Escobar re-examined my eyes and corrected the prescription. I was told the correct contacts would be ordered.
After waiting about two weeks, I began calling the office multiple times, only to keep hearing that the prescription was still not in. Finally, on January 8, I received a call saying the order was ready. When I arrived, I found out they had ordered the WRONG prescription -- the original one from December 13, not the corrected prescription from December 15.
They admitted the mistake and said they would reorder and expedite the correct contacts. On January 28, I received a call to pick up what turned out to be only trial lenses, supposedly to "hold me over." I waited patiently again without calling.
On February 5, I finally got a call saying my order was in. When I went to pick it up, I said, "After almost three months, I finally get the right ones." The front desk gentleman responded, 'Well, sometimes it takes this long.'
That comment was completely unacceptable. I told him that I've ordered the exact same contacts elsewhere and received them within a week, so this delay was clearly not normal. He blamed manufacturers. I responded that if the office hadn't messed up the order in the first place, it wouldn't have taken this long.
Instead of addressing the issue, he became defensive and said he didn't do anything. I clarified that it wasn't personal -- it was about the office's mistake and poor customer service. He then claimed he'd been in customer service for 50 years, which honestly made the situation worse given how unprofessionally he handled it. At that point, I asked to speak to a manager because the conversation was going nowhere.
Overall, this was one of the worst customer service experiences I've had in a medical office. Mistakes happen, but how they're handled matters -- and MyEyeDr failed at every step. The error was theirs, the delays were excessive, and the attitude at the front desk was dismissive and unprofessional.
I do not recommend this location to anyone.
The staff in the office are professional and overall fantastic. Qhen I showed up for my appointment there's was no mention of being seen by the doctor on duty or by people online. Needless to say, I did a refraction test with a women online who I found to be very unfriendly. I also saw a doctor online which made me feel uncomfortable. I'll be sure next time to book my appointment with rhe actual doctor in the office.
I've been going there for several years, and can say it's gone downhill fast since My Eye Dr took over. Their eyewear has always been expensive but I just paid. But after I had cataract surgery a couple of years ago they billed my eye insurance instead of medicare. I pointed out their error, and staff said they were told to bill it that way. I never did get my post-surgery free glasses.
On top of that, when I got my expensive glasses, they were terrible! I went in to get an answer about that, and the wait was forever. Although I was signed in, and there were 3-4 peyworking, I waited almost an hour before I complained. I was told they had to see the patients coming from eye exams before us walk-in and wait folks.
When someone finally waited on me, it took him about 30 seconds to discover that they had sent a prescription from a couple of years ago. Oops!! Another week to get the right ones.
And now they are emailing and texting me RELENTLESSLY for the last 3-4 months to make an appointment. No way in heck will I go back there.
Yes, I'd definitely recommend MyEyeDr. for your eye care needs. The optometrists are really careful to make sure you get the absolute correct prescription. The opticians are also careful to make sure your experience is the best. I got only new lenses this year, and yet when they had finished fitting the lenses to my existing frames they actually fit better than they ever had before! Also, the general manager took the time to explain everything to me so I could fully understand the experience while there. My experience with MyEyeDr. was thoroughly professional! Thank you MyEyeDr.
I came here because I heard Dr. Escobar was a great optometrist. I was not disappointed. She is beyond wonderful and I'd even drive to another state just to keep seeing her. As for rest of the experience, I'd say meh. Didn't like the pressure to buy glasses, but the did give me a good deal on a set and they came within a week. However, it took several visits to the store just pick them up. Too many people were waiting for service and those being served were going exceptionally slow. The staff didn't even have ttime to look up and acknowledge I was there. That's not acceptable. Myeye Dr. really needs to rethink the backend of their operation.
I was skeptical at first - the big corporation taking over my local eye doctor's office. But I'm very happy with the result. Friendly, knowledgeable staff and quick turnaround. I highly recommend this location. Shout out to Tish - you did great!
Tony and Jasmine are simply amazing. Very patient and kind. Highly recommend this location for all your eye care needs!
