Dr Smolyar = awesome surgeon! Cataract surgery was a great success! When it's been YEARS that your vision has been impaired...and now my vision is repaired to driving without glasses = major life changer! "Thank you doctor" doesn't quite message the extent of my amazing experience...indeed a very happy patient!

I went in not expecting miracles after I first met with Dr. Smolyar but I trusted him that there would be an improvement. The surgical center was warm and friendly and made me feel like I was their only patient when clearly I was not. They, the doc and meds quickly calmed my nerves.The procedure of course was quick and went home to rest. I "tested" my eye by covering the one not yet done and things looked pretty good. Covered the one just treated and realized I was seeing through a yellowish film. The next day was post-op and was thrilled to discover I could see 20/20 from the eye Dr. Smolyer worked his magic on. I could actually read things without guessing the words & numbers. Today is my first day back at work and am amazed how much better my vision is. I can hardly wait to do my other eye. I don't expect perfect but I do know my life will be greatly improved! I won't walk into the surgery center cranky & scared this time; I'll be excited and happy.

Dr Smolyar and his staff are amazing. Pure professionals that take care of their patients. Highly recommend having them as your eye care team. Thanks to Dr Smolyar for doing such an excellent job on my eyes. So excited to be able to see without glasses.

Dr Smolyar did an excellent job with my cataract surgery. After only one day, I'm seeing just about 20/20 in that eye. Dr Smolyar is very professional and personable and I always feel confident that he knows exactly what he's doing and I'm getting the absolute best care for my eyes. Would highly recommend him to anyone. His entire staff does a very good job.

The process was straightforward and thorough. examination confirmed that I had a cataract, scheduled me for surgery. They explained everything in advance gave me everything I needed in writing. The day of the surgery the people with the surgical center were friendly and helpful. Had a little discomfort after the procedure went home took a short nap and woke up with my vision back to 20/25 in the eye that had the cataract. Following day felt back to normal. Could not have been happier with the process and the result.

I was diagnosed with cataract in both eyes and I needed an opthalmologist that I could trust. Fortunately I found Dr. Smolyar. Dr Smolyar evaluated my eyes /vision and performed the surgery. He and his team were professional and efficient. As a result my vision improved significantly; beyond my expectations. I'm grateful to Dr Smolyar and his team for improving my quality of life.

Perfection describes all of my contacts and care with Dr Smolyar, his staff, and the surgery center. My cataract removals went perfectly and I no longer need to wear glasses. I am very pleased.

I can't say enough positive things about Dr. Brian Marhue and Dr. Albert Smolyar and their staff at Southwest Florida Eye Care. I've been a patient for the 6 years I've lived in the area and they have always been incredibly professional, caring and responsive. I just had cataract surgery on one eye and am looking forward to having the other eye done soon. I highly recommend this practice.
