I purchased two pairs of glasses from LensCrafters and was surprised by how expensive they were even with vision insurance. My first pair was mostly covered and arrived quickly without any issues, so I initially had a good experience.
My second pair, however, cost nearly $400 even after applying a $100 coupon from my insurance. When the order arrived, only the lenses had been delivered. Instead of contacting me to explain the situation beforehand or asking how I wanted to proceed, the staff immediately took a pair of the display frames from the sales floor and cut the lenses to fit them while I waited.
While the glasses themselves appear fine, I was never asked for my preference. For a purchase at this price point, I would have expected brand-new frames and the option to simply reorder them, even if it meant waiting longer. Instead, the decision was made without my input, and I had to sit there while they modified a display pair.
When someone is paying several hundred dollars for glasses, clear communication and new product should be the standard. I would have gladly waited for a proper reorder rather than receiving frames that had been sitting on the display floor. The lack of communication and assumption that this was acceptable made the experience frustrating and disappointing.
Upon entering the establishment, I was promptly greeted and the staff were pleasant. After my eye exam the staff asked what type of frames, price range I wanted to start with. The staff was helpful in getting me set up with a tray and explaining the process during to my eyes were dilated an overall good experience.
Great experience, Lens Crafters Edison mall 4125 Cleveland Ave. everybody was great from the exam Doctor To Angie my optician Who help me to decide what glasses look best on me. Great God-fearing woman that was very nice to talk to. help me to decide and without her way to make sure the Glasses that I really like was able to be fitted for my prescription. Thank you so much
I had prescription lenses installed in my Meta glasses at LensCrafters. After the installation, the glasses stopped working properly, even though everything was functioning before the service.
What makes this worse is that at no point was I informed that LensCrafters would not be responsible if the glasses stopped working. This was never explained before the installation, and there was no clear disclaimer or warning given. Had I been told this upfront, I would have reconsidered moving forward.
There was also no proper testing done after the installation, leaving me with non-functional smart glasses and no accountability. For a company that charges premium prices and promotes professional service, this experience was extremely disappointing.
I would strongly caution anyone considering lens installation on Meta or other smart glasses. Transparency and responsibility were completely lacking in this experience.
These people that work here don't know what they are talking about. I called in a few weeks ago to ask when my warranty expires for the glasses, was told that it expires mid March, today I show up to use my warranty and she said it expired 2 days ago. Train your staff properly, this is a simple thing that should not have happened. Incompetent staff, will never go to this location again.
I know I must sound like a stockholder or an employee of LensCrafters, but the whole experience was excellent first time to buy progressive lenses. I didn't know it was so complicated but Gabby was very patient and explained everything to me and then they had a sale going on and she had explained to me the different options of the sale and the different options of progressive lenses so and the price was very reasonable and I got two pairs of glasses and one progressive and one distance I've got 30 days to change the lens. If I don't like progressive, I could change it back to distance. I got a one year warranty on both classes on both pairs. I hope the warranty is good at any LensCrafters in the country if I move or if I'm on vacation so I'm very happy not to mention the fact that I live a block away but even if I didn't, I'd be willing to drive oh this is not my first visit. I bought all my glasses here since I moved to Fort Myers in 1986 so why do I keep coming back I guess cause I'm no I don't guess because I'm happy I can take them in any time to be adjusted or cleaned even beyond the warranty so I'm very happy and I want you to be happy so why don't you get your little behind over there today? OK bye
I had a fantastic experience with Ms. Angie at LensCrafters. From the very beginning, she was warm, patient, and truly attentive to my needs. She took the time to listen carefully, explain my options clearly, and make sure I felt comfortable every step of the way.
What stood out the most was her kindness and understanding--she didn't just help me pick out lenses, she made the whole process stress-free and enjoyable. Her professionalism combined with her friendly personality made me feel valued as a customer.
Thanks to her, I left confident and happy with my lenses. If you ever go to LensCrafters, I highly recommend asking for Angie. She's a gem!
Ordered glasses for myself and my fiance on Jan 8th and here it is Feb 15th after being quoted 1-2 weeks totally unacceptable!!!! Even with our insurance which is great we had to fork out $900! We will never be going back to this joke of a place and I highly recommend others go anywhere else but here!!!
