I was referred by my Internist to Dr. Zeglam (Dr."Z") for my cataracts. I was so impressed with Dr. Z the minute I met him as he smiled, shook my hand, and established an easy rapport. Dr. Z's upbeat style, warm personality, great emotional intelligence, and wonderful bedside manner really put me at ease . Dr. Z did a thorough eye examination and then presented me with my surgical options, explained each one well, answered all of my questions. I never felt rushed or pressured. It was all very relaxed. Staff and patients alike seem to love Dr. Z, which creates a friendly vibe throughout the office. The front desk staff are helpful and friendly, and the appointment process is smooth and fast . You don't have to wait long to see Dr. Z even though the waiting room is packed every time I've been there. Dr. Z was flawless in his surgical technique which showcased his knowledge, expertise, and surgical skill set. I especially liked how Dr. Z talked to me throughout the whole surgery, explaining what he was doing, what was going to happen next, always in the moment with me, giving me his undivided attention, as well as encouraging affirmations, which made all the difference in the world in terms of decreasing my anxiety and making me feel safe. The surgery itself was painless, and the recovery process isn't bad at all for what you're going to get in return .... my vision is great now and I'm so happy with the results. He's easy to be with, explains everything making sure you understand and when he's with you, you have his attention until it's no longer needed. Unlike the franchise ophthalmologist his lenses do not scratch and I'm pretty tough on glasses.
