Linda and Chloe were both extremely helpful and courteous. Linda assisted in finding my insurance details and Chloe helped me pick out the perfect pair of glasses that complement me. Both ladies were friendly, professional and made the experience very easy. I also appreciated that the store has a massive selection with a wide variety of options!

I was referred to come here to order glasses for my son and daughter by a couple family members. Unfortunately my experience was not the same. I took both my kids to pick out their glasses. The sweet lady Linda was extremely helpful in that process. My daughter is 7 and this is her first time getting glasses and she was excited. We picked 2 pair out for 100$ and my son 1 pair for 100$. I had their prescriptions from their optometrist they see. Everything was easy as far as picking them out and paying. I don't remember the gentlemen that checked us out but he was great. Fast forward 2 weeks and I was notified their glasses came in. I went to pick them up and they had ordered 2 pair of the glasses my son picked out and only 1 of the pair my daughter originally picked. I let the receptionist know because she just handed me the bag with the glasses without showing me them so luckily I checked before leaving. She went to get the General Manager and we sat down with him. I went and got the pair from the shelf that we were supposed to get and he kind of seemed confused. I told him the guy who did the original order was there and I pointed him out and he just responded okay. He asked the sweet lady Linda to help but then didn't remember what he needed her help with. He checked the 1st pair of glasses on my daughter and said they fit good but Linda saw adjustments that needed to be made. (Seems like Linda should be the general manager). Anyways, I was never given a "I'm Sorry" or any accommodations for this mix up. Thankfully my daughter's 1 pair came in because she needed glasses due to her almost being declared blind and we have to start intensive eye therapy. My reason for this detailed review is for anyone that is purchasing glasses for themselves or kids. Make sure the glasses ordered are being ordered correctly. I will not order glasses from here again.

I recently went in for a contact lens "follow up". My appt was at 2.15 pm and left the store at 4.11 pm. All I have to say is, please do better with timing of "contact lens follow up" I didn't even do any exam or buy a complete frame. I tell all my friends, family, and coworkers that I get my glasses at Americas Best for over 7 years now. I'm embarrassed to tell them my last experience (Archer Rd Gainesville, FL)

NEW UPDATE, I was contacted by a district mgr and store mgr and they promised to change the lenses on my glasses to what I need post surgery. Thank you!! UPDATE: again they respond with send us an email well I have done that twice now...... with no result Went here for exam and new glasses. During the exam I told the doctor I had an appt coming up with opththalmologist to check to see if it was time for cataract surgery as my vision had become much more blurry. Well exam done and glasses ordered. Then I went to Opthalmologist and find out it does not matter what prescription she gave my vision is still blurry due to the catract. With her being a Optometrist she should have seen that on the exam. So now I have glasses that are useless and expensive. I wrote to main office regarding my concern and have only heard they received my complaint. No other communication.

I purchased two pairs of glasses from this location. Both pair were transition lenses and progressive bifocals. I paid almost $1000 dollars with my vision benefits and my American Express card. My only complaint was the transition doesn't get dark enough in the car while driving. I called and spoke to Linda Raines and asked if one pair could be completely tinted as dark as possible and not worry about the transition lenses. She took the time to talk to the optometrist and came back and told me no they couldn't be. However she said we can put another set of lenses in them that are tinted as dark as possible for you. I asked what that would cost expecting to spend several hundred more dollars. Linda's response was no charge Honey. Your not happy and you have only had them for a few weeks. I couldn't believe it. She even put a note in my file to make sure it would be covered. Linda's kindness and customer service was above and beyond the usual service you receive from companies now days. She deserves a raise, bonus and even some other kind of recognition for being so good. I've had a tough day today and Linda made it so much better. Thank you Linda for everything I will see you next week. For the past 15 years life has been really tough for me personally. My wife at age 36 died unexpectedly the day after she went into the hospital. She was the Love of my life. My niece was involved in a car accident that caused her to be ejected from the car with it flipping over landing on her legs trapping her then caught fire. Her boyfriend walked away from the accident and let her burn because he had a warrant for his arrest. My niece fought for 14 hours with burns over 99 percent of her body. She had a two year old child. Two years ago my best friend and oldest sister was diagnosed with Breast and Bone cancer stage 4. She was expected to die within 3 months. We moved in together so I could help take care of her. One year later after Chemotherapy and 48 radiation treatments she was still going strong. One day before my 56th birthday I was diagnosed with a terminal illness and she had to help me after that. I was told 12-18 months unless I could get a Liver transplant. I'm at month 16 and still going I'm sick and have no idea when my time will be up. Linda's kindness made me actually cry she has no idea the way things have been for me tye past years yet she was amazing and very kind. Thank you Linda and please anyone that reads this say a prayer for my sister and I and let Linda know how great she is. Kevin Whitlock.

Long time customer at American Best. My recent visit lead me to believe they are no longer the Best. Variety was limited for 2 glasses and exam. I got two frames listed at $99.99each. Paid $200.00, so exam was included. Regularly you would pick two frames at the same cost ($99.99)and you would pay $99.99 for both and exam. They nolonger do that for the 2 glasses and exam cost. Their offer of $95.00 for two pairs and exam are only on frames $69.00 or less, these frames offered are very poor quality.. America's Best is no longer the Best.....

My daughter and husband used them a couple months ago. I called today to see if they would email my daughter a copy of her prescriptions to the email they have for her on file, because she has moved and the nearest store to her now is 4 hrs away. The older lady that answered the phone told me no, that it goes against hippa but that they can fax it or she can come get it. How is faxing it any safer then emailing it, not to mention who has a fax machine anymore? So I googled it and hippa even states they are allowed to email eye prescriptions. Not to mention their website has the option to take an eye exam online to renewal your prescription and they will email you a copy of the new prescription. Just seems like they don't want you to take your business elsewhere once they get your money, because the initial visit went fine. I would of left this at 5 stars if not for the prescription not being emailed to my daughter.
