I have not been to an optometrist in over 10 years and was searching for an affordable place to go. After calling around, Eyecare Express was the best price for an eye exam. From my initial call to book an appointment to walking out of my first visit today, it was wonderful. Everyone there was so friendly, kind, and helpful! It is small but it feels like a first class experience. There is only one wall of glasses for selection but I think it was just enough, too many to choose from can feel overwhelming. I feel badly that I didn't catch the woman's name who helped me with my glasses selection, but she was so very patient with me and talked me through many options that I was unsure of. And Dr. Lefkowitz was fantastic, letting me know everything that was happening step by step. I feel like I found a hidden gem here, although I might be the last to know about it. I hope to continue my eye care needs at Eyecare Express and that great team that works there!

I've worn glasses and contacts the past 30 years and Eyecare Express is by far the best place I've been to for eye care. I discovered this place after my 1800contacts shipment was delayed and I needed contacts to go Scuba diving. I called around town to see if anyone could help me. My current dr at the time was not helpful and office staff was rude. After calling 6 or so other places in the Gainesville area with no luck, I called Eyecare Express and not only did they not hesitate to help despite me not being a patient at their office, I showed up and they didn't even charge me for the contacts! I decided to give them a try for my next appointment and have zero regrets. Dr. Johnson was great and their office staff, prices, and entire experience is top-notch. I ordered 6 moth supply of contacts cheaper than 1800contacts and two pairs of eye glasses. I highly recommend. Thank you!

I rarely leave reviews but when I do, it's for hidden, local gems. This is one of those places. I came by with some glasses I need adjusted that I didn't buy from them and they were still more than happy to not only help out, but also changed my nose pads free of charge. They genuinely care about their customers and are a fresh breath of air from all of the other businesses that focus solely on making money. They then offered to adjust my other glasses (which I didn't even know were crooked)!! I will be giving this place my future business here. No better local business to get eyecare done at.

Really good service. Loved that the eye Dr was a problem solver as well who listened and worked with me to get everything just right and they helped me try a new contact lense type I'd never tried before. They were able to mail everything to my home in ocala too! Super Profesional with a hometown personal unhurried feel which you don't find much these days anymore. Best of all for me, is the Dr wore a mask when I asked, because I am immune compromised, so thank you so so much for doing that. I really appreciate it. Very impressed.

Wonderful, love this place! My frames broke outside of their year long warranty, but they agreed to replace them free of cost since I had never claimed a replacement on my warranty before. I was in and out in 2 minutes, and they were very friendly.
I've also had my eyes checked out here; very friendly and very good patient treatment. Not too costly either.
And I get my contacts from here too!

Our in house lab with computerized equipment allow us to provide one hour and same day service on most prescriptions, including single vision, bifocal, transitions and progressive lenses.
