Gainesville Family Eyecare is the best for you and your eyes! Staff are incredibly fast and timely in responding to phone calls and especially emails! I am always so impressed by their professionalism and time management!! Dr. Krol's kind and calming tone made me feel relaxed and happy with my care! I was informed step by step and was given clear and concise explanations for each part of the exam! Can't wait to go back!!

I had been to another "optometrist" in Gainesville, (who we used to use but changed ownership), and he couldn't get my prescription correct after 3 tries. I spent many weeks wasting time and some money on glasses that didn't work. Not only does Gainesville Family Eyecare answer the phone, (the former business never answered their service line), Dr. Krohl provided me with excellent and accurate service. The glasses at Gainesville Eyecare took only 3 days to arrive and guess what? They work! My whole family and company staff will be using Dr. Krohl from now on!!!!!

I can't say enough good things about both Dr. Anhalt and his staff. Dr. Anhalt has been my eye doctor for quite a number of years and he just moved to this new practice. The new office is friendly, helpful and very comfortable and relaxed. I'm very glad he made the move to Gainesville Family Eyecare!

UPDATE 2025 I am puzzled, disappointed and upset ... I had a problem with my eyesight - something not uncommon. I called asking for help in managing the problem, in knowing what to do, where to go, how to get some help. I was told they could not give me any advice, that they could not help in any way. I was made to feel like an older person who should just go away. Well, obviously I will do so. I am sad to say I shan't go back. Previous review after straightforward eye test I am green with envy at all the reviewers who have been with Gainesville Family Eyecare for many years. I found them by chance after having a yet another disappointing experience with yet another local optician. Over the years I have paid loads of money for not very much. My last glasses never worked properly. I was told that my prescription meant my glasses could never be any better. My eyes always strained to see. I thought it was me/my eyes. Dr Krol and Angela and Delfina dropped like angels into my life. (I know I know this sounds a bit crazy but I can assure you it is not). The eye exam alone was a revelation. Kind and comprehensive with brief explanations at each and every step. Impeccable. And so interesting!! Then Angela quickly found brilliant frames for me and today (just 12 days after my exam) I picked up my new glasses. They are perfect!! My eyes can see - including peripherally ... I spent 6 hours today editing on my computer and my eyes still feel fresh and happy and relaxed. I am ecstatic!!! #betterlatethannever!!!

Dr. Krol is fantastic! I switched from Pearle Vision and I'm never going to Pearle again! Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Additionally, I get complimented on my new glasses daily. The quality of my frames and lenses are absolutely incredible. I recommend Gainesville Family Eye Care to everyone that needs glasses or contacts. David and Angela are also helpful anytime I have questions!

I've been a patient of Dr. Herlevich for almost 10 years and continue to be extremely pleased with her and the services of the Gainesville Family Eyecare office. Dr. Herlevich is always very thorough and kind, and she takes time to answer any questions I have. Recently after having difficulty with new lenses she was happy to do a recheck with me to reevaluate and fine-tune the prescription so things could be just right. David is especially patient and helpful with everything regarding frames, lenses and ordering, and they will even order different colors or sizes of frames they carry to try on before committing to purchase. Overall a very professional and personable experience with each encounter!

Dr. Adam Anhalt was amazing! He answered all of my questions about eyes, my prescription, lasik, and more. He did a great job explaining everything. Thank you so much!
