North Florida Eye Center: Dr Maher M Fanous, M.D.

2023 Busy place. Always greeted with smiles. Great staff, some local students working others learning on the job. Very pleasant waiting room. Its always busy and you'll have to be patient because you will be waiting, being a Subspecialist doc is in high demand, Doctor is extremely qualified in his field of Ophthalmology. highly knowledgeable, experienced, top notch, professor. Staff is efficient and try to move patients along as quickly as they can. I feel like I am in good hands with this team of professionals. I think it's worth the wait. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED 5 years mom was a patient now myself 3 years. Two locations. Gainesville and Chiefland.

Dr. Fanous absolutely saved my life several years ago.Great with his patient, great surgeon. I recommend him to everyone.

Dr Endicotts nurse that was to assist with my laser procedure was very rude to me. I told her I'm a nurse and would never speak to a patient like that. She replied"good for u". Dr Endicott entered the room and proceeded to accuse me of calling his "staff" the b word, which I explained that I never said that. He told me he would have to go and calm down before doing my procedure because"you don't want me touching your eye the way I'm feeling right now, believe me". He never let me speak and explain her actions and words. I left the building and won't be back. Btw a years and a half ago he did my one eye. And then I asked if this procedure hurt, he and the same rude nurse said to me" only the older ppl whine and cry about it, but it doesn't even hurt". I didn't like that response at all

This business deserves 5 stars from me. Everything was fantastic, professional, and friendly. I think Dr Fanous is a very good person who never seems to miss an opportunity to explain what he is doing to his staff. I personally find that to be a sign of exceptional character. The staff I interacted with was very friendly and competent. Everybody was joking around and having a good time. A slight negative issue (for which the young fellow I was working with apologized) was my time in the waiting room was bit long.

This was my second cataract surgery, like the first it went great. Dr fanoush and all the people that work there are certainly great. I would give them a 10 stars if I could.

Dr. Fanous's staff has been amazing. Although his schedule is busy, this is a great indication that he is well liked and a wonderful physician.

Dr. Fanous is a wonderful , competent doctor. I feel very thankful to have been referred to his practice. He listens to any/ all concerns, treats you accordingly and provides easy to understand instructions for patients to follow in order to help their own condition. I highly recommend this practice to anyone who wants to feel confident in their treatment plan.

Kirsten is the WORST person working at this establishment. It's Seriously Sad that they office staff here is changed so frequently that they can't keep up with the job. I appreciate that they allow students to gain experience working here. However, they have the personalities of wet paper towels. Rude and I completely incapable of doing their jobs. This place has a great Dr. however the rest of the staff SUCKS!!!
