There is never a licensed optician working. How can they call themselves a vision center when 80 percent of the time they are open they do not have anyone who can order, fit, or adjust glasses?!? Also, I went through the long process of picking glasses and contacting my insurance to use the benefits, just to be told I would have to come back later with my signed prescription but that my data would be saved. I come back and the next optician cant find my insurance or data and informs me my insurance is not accepted here. This was after I was turned away because there was no optician. For some reason, I still ordered glasses through Walmart vision and now the process is being delayed again because no licensed optician will be in office for the next four days and they wont give me my glasses without fitting them.

Got my frames and lenses there. However, I have been back 4 times to get an adjustment and there is never anyone there to help. I have used Walmart vision in Palatka for many years. This Walmart in Gainesville on 12th is terrible with customer service. So disappointed. Also, there is no optician there as advertised.

The ladies here are all very helpful and professional! I was initially given the wrong prescription by my doctor (outside of Walmart), and the staff at the Vision Center were very understanding and accommodating. I was able to find a new doctor and bring my new prescription back to the vision centre to get my glasses redone for free under the 60 day warranty. Excellent customer service + good quality lenses + affordable price = happy customer! :)

Ive been here a couple of times. The service isn't horrible but I did have a particularly bad experience that I wanted to relate. The last time I went in I was planning on getting a new set of glasses, so I scheduled an appointment to get my eyes tested for a new glasses prescription. They kept trying to ask me if I wanted to get my contact one updated too and I kept saying no. Eventually I was in the chair, about to get the exam (I thought for glasses) and they asked me one more time if I wanted to get the glasses AND contacts exam. I said no, just the glasses one would be fine. It was then that the person admitted to me that my contacts presciption from a year ago was sufficient to get glasses and I didn't need a new exam. So, basically they withheld that info from me in hopes of getting me to take a test I didn't need. I then was able to go and get the glasses somewhere else using my prescription from a year earlier. Dishonesty at its finest. In case her boss is reading this, it was a female worker with glasses and blondish hair. This was towards the end of the year in 2012.
