I cannot say enough amazing things about Dr. Whitney Miranda at Clarkson Eyecare and her incredible front desk administrator, Gillian. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with the sweetest, most friendly staff who truly make you feel welcome and cared for.
Dr. Miranda is knowledgeable, thorough, and takes her time to explain everything in a way that makes you feel confident about your eye health. She is professional while still being warm and personable, which is the perfect combination in a provider.
And Gillian? Absolutely amazing. She truly goes above and beyond. She handles everything, including preliminary testing, contact lens fittings, follow-ups, and anything else you may need, all with patience and expertise. It is rare to find someone so dedicated and genuinely kind.
If you are looking for an eye doctor, this is 100 percent the place to go. Exceptional care, exceptional people, and an all-around wonderful experience every single time.

I am impossibly disappointed with this place. I paid for an exam, paid for prescription and glasses and I was told it'd be about 14 days. We are walking into the 23rd day and have had no communication so decided to stop by only to get a "it looks like it's delayed and it will HOPEFULLY be ready next week" but they couldn't even assure me that would be the case. If you are in the area please do yourself a favor and avoid Clarkson Eye care. Walmart eye care center conducts business far more professionally and the communication is second to none. My son goes there because his mom lives close by and boy do I wish now I would have done the same. I have headaches as I need my new prescription. The best part was when they laughed and thought this was funny. I am not a person to write reviews and less so bad ones but I am so disgusted by this experience I feel compelled to prevent others from experiencing the same. Go anywhere, and I mean anywhere and you'll be ok.

My family and I's experience at Clarkson Eyecare was amazing from start to finish. Everyone was incredibly caring, attentive, and welcoming, which made the entire visit comfortable and stress-free. Dr. Miranda was absolutely amazing, very knowledgeable, patient, and thorough, and took the time to explain everything clearly. We truly felt well cared for and valued as a patient.
Reading some of these reviews are obviously NOT telling the whole story but oh well.
We would HIGHLY recommend Clarkson Eyecare to anyone looking for exceptional service and compassionate care.

Very frustrating experience. I called in advance to book an appointment for my son and was told I'd get a call back to confirm availability. I waited an entire week and never received a call.
Since this office was listed through my son's insurance and we were seen here last year, I booked an appointment online. The appointment was for 8:50 AM, which caused my son to be late to school and required me to start work late.
When we arrived, we were told they do not accept his insurance. This should have been verified before allowing the appointment to be scheduled. Poor communication and lack of insurance verification wasted my time and disrupted my work and my child's school day.

I have been a Clarkson customer in Ohio for over a decade. I just relocated to Florida and my experience with this particular store has been the worst. I ordered transition lenses the first time in March 2025 and they wouldn't darken or tint in the Sun. So a second pair of lenses were ordered that were appropriately darkening however in just a few months, the coating to start peel off impacting my vision. So I requested for a different pair of lenses since this was just within a year of my purchase. The third pair of lenses had the same defective quality as the first pair that did not darken in the sun. The store kept telling me this was the problem with the lab. When I requested to address this or send me a new pair of lenses the store lady I spoke to was extremely rude and arrogant just kept saying that that's fine. That's fine. Apparently this was also discussed with the store manager and regional manager who declined to fix the problem. I would not advocate to go to Clarkson's stores anywhere in Florida.

No respect for your time. Had an appointment for 10. Gentleman with an appointment for 11 was seen before me (happened to over hear) while I sat there well after my appointment time waiting for him to finish. Appointment times should be honored. I was on time and should not e made to wait past my appointment time especially when the only other person there was the11 o clock gentleman. Please fix your policy.
