Florida Optical

This was my first time using Florida Optical, and the experience was pleasant! Customer service was great, the wait time was short, and Doctor Nguyen was professional. She answered questions that were asked, and explained the importance of wearing my glasses while driving at night.. Keep on shining guys..

Overall, my experience was good. They have fair prices, nice frames, and the exam process went smoothly. However, the customer service felt misleading. During my initial eye exam, I was interested in getting contact lenses. One of the staff members told me that about 90% of people who get contacts end up with a worse prescription, which honestly scared me away from getting them. She also assured me that I had 30 days to come back for a contact lens appointment and that it would only cost $10. After going home and doing my own research, I felt comfortable with the idea of getting contacts. But when I returned--within the 30 days--she told me the price would now be $50-$80 because my glasses order had already been billed. This was never mentioned to me, even though I asked multiple times to make sure the $10 price would apply if I came back within the 30-day window. This was disappointing and felt misleading. If I had been given accurate information from the beginning, I would have gotten the contact lenses on the first day just like I wanted.

I went to Florida Optical on Vine St in Kissimmee, Fl to replace my glasses because the lenses were scratched. I was surprised when the optometrist insisted on dilating my eyes otherwise I won't be able to come back again, despite the fact that I already have an ophthalmologist who manages my eye health. I wasn't there for a medical eye exam just to update glasses and dilation felt unnecessary and inconvenient. I would have appreciated clearer communication and respectful the care I already received elsewhere. If dilation is a requirement, that should be made very clear upfront so patients can decide before wasting their time.

I highly recommend Florida Optical. The staff is very efficient and pleasant. I want to especially commend Sharon who provided excellent customer service while displaying a positive and pleasant attitude. Also, I want to commend and thank Ley for her consistent support as it relates to my sister, always providing assistance with a great attitude last year and this year.

I only give them a 2 rating because of the Doctor Lanh Nguyen she was so nice. However the lady that tried to sell me glasses she first said that my prescription was to have high for the frames I picked did not qualify due to my prescription being to high. She then took me over to other glasses that were over my insurance allowance. I then asked if I could get my measurements and she said "I no sell you glasses I no give you measurements. I ended up leaving with my prescription and no measurements and a feeling that I want to keep my loved ones far away!!!!!!!!!!

The service was get up front and the optometrist gave great understanding and information. The service was great. And the style of glasses was wonderful. Top notch service information and vibe 4sho!!!
